We either didn't give them a fair chance, or ran them out of town for no good reason.

What ever, i don't want to hijack the thread with my complaining about this kind of thing.

It's gonna happen, and that won't solve a thing.

Now back on topic.

Still anxious to see these guys play.

Yea, I guess. Cup in 1994 was a terrible reason to "run" Amonte out of town.

I always say, that the Rangers sold their soul for that Cup.

After they won it, it was down hill again from there, save the 97 season.

It started the buy everyone now phase.

The youngsters better keep their heads up when Lucic is on the ice, hopefully him and Brashear have a go, although I agree with Dagoon's take.

Other than Prucha, I don't think any of those players were mismanaged in any way, shape or form. And Prucha sucks.

Pre Pre-Season Game 1

The active roster for tonight’s pre-season game at MSG was announced late yesterday afternoon. I had to drive up north yesterday before Torts made his decisions, so thanks to Andrew Gross for passing this on: F: Ales Kotalik, Christopher Higgins, Brian Boyle, Chris Drury, Ryan Callahan, Dane Byers, P.A. Parenteau, Artem Anisimov, Evgeny Grachev, Enver Lisin, [...]

Trade rumors still abound, but as far as I know, none of the players active for tonight’s game are in the mix.

More later after the game. Watch for Tweets between now and then.

This I can agree with you on. He's too big for a lot of middle weights to handle, but he's no heavy weight himself

Seems like a decent lineup for the Bruins

A crap shameful history with this Organization...

Lisin on the FOURTH line? With garbage players....

Wonderful Tortorella, great job giving him a fair shot.

And why am i not surprised to see Tortorella's lover, Callahan, in the top 6, when other guys need time to show what they got so they can make the team.

This will infuriate me all season long. Renney was terrible with line combinations... looks like Tortorella is too.

Look for Lisin to be completely ineffective tonight.... pisses me off.

Why does Sather bother acquiring skill players? He should just fill the team up with Petrovickys and Ortmeyers to satisfy Tortorella.
Jumping off the bridge before the first preseason game might be a new record. Congrats!

Talented hockey players don't waste their time fighting the thugs of the league if they are smart. Would you want one of your most talented players to fight the opposite team's thug?

Don't think I'd call Lucic one of Boston's most talented players...but you're right that you don't want him fighting all the time. Just some of the time, or you are taking away some of his value overall.

Still, he's annoying for other teams because there's no point in having him fight goons, like you say, but he's bigger and stronger than most middle weight guys.

So he'll mostly fight smaller guys and shy away from the bigger guys. It's smart, but annoying

Lucic is a solid nhl player not a great NHL he also is a bully and loves to fight guys smaller then him. Save the lecture for someone who likes Lucic. He is a total spot picker with a rep as a bully on guys smaller and a coward against guys that can fight. He ran from Orr like 10 times last few years

Is the prospect of exploring trading Dubinsky really considered a rumor? Unless she's heard something about a specific team I just kindof considered Dubinsky trade talks to be a foregone conclusion.

Based on her wording I thought she meant someone at training camp, but not playing tonight, not Dubinsky.

What is this about trade rumors??

First some random thread about Kessel, that turned out to be a wrong link, and now another trade rumor.

Anything substantial?

"Doesn't concern players dressed for tonight" Dubinsky maybe?

The summer is too damn long.

Drop the puck.

I'm not jumping off the bridge, i'd like to see the guy get a chance, with decent line mates.
