Strongly disagree. I've spent a lot of time in Providence and been to a few P-Bruins games. Beautiful small city on the upswing with a great nightlife that allows you to catch a game and make a fun night of it. If only that could be said about a Devils game.

Providence is nice...

but that has nothing to do with Tyutin

Anyways, I think it's just bad english. As one poster said, perhaps BR, klingsor, or NYR, I forget, the Rangers probably went to him and said, this is a great opportunity for you. It's best for your development, and a win-win for the organization who can now call-up a player. Tyutin most likely feels comfortable in Hartford and BR is right-on. Who wants to go outside in the dark in the afternoon, or be in the freezing cold? He worked hard to get away from that. On the flip side, being light at 3AM in St. Petersburg in July is pretty nice.

St. Petersburg is a pretty spectacular place, and I've heard that it's changed a lot since I was there in 1997.

But more on topic: I think that the meaning of Tyutin's statement is that he's torn between two desires. It seems to me that he didn't want to leave the team, but that he really wants to play against the best competition available. I don't think he's wrong.

What, you've never ambled into the swamp after a Devils' game to search for Jimmy Hoffa's grave? All you need is a flashlight, waders, and a shovel and you're set for hours of fun!

Anyway, the place to go after any Meadowlands event is Rutt's Hutt for hot dogs and onion rings. And the most depressing city to see a minor league game in is Utica.

St. Pete's is...

got a chance to go in 1987, when it was still communistic. Great being followed by KGB in Red Square (Moscow, obviously) at 2AM.

Hey guys, quick question:

If Tyutin were to play 82 games in 05/06, how many points would he get?

Thanks in advance!

Seems reasonable (if there is an NHL season).

Might be more if we have a good power play and he's the #1 left point man.

Nylander Holik Jagr
Tyutin Poti

Sounds about right, though I wouldn't be surprised if they give that position to Pck or even try Jagr up there.

Either way, look for a lot of shorthanded goals against...
