You're living a dream. All french stations talk about is how there's not enough french guys on the team, what's an english guy going to do? How about RDS get some capable french analysts to begin with?

There are some capable ones out there. Danny Dubé being one of them. But yes that's a good point. They should start with that.

I don't know I just think it might be a good way to blend perspectives a little more. I agree though that it's not likely to happen any time soon.

If it were possible it should def happen. Maybe their best bet to find professional people is from looking at former players, not necessarily former french players, but billingual ones, ones who can have a little segment and can get by with french from a dif province and vice versa.

Just wondering : is it harder for an English speaking person to comprehend a French Canadian speaking English with a thick accent or for a French Canadian with a thick accent to comprehend another French Canadian speaking English with a thick accent? ... comprendé?
Was just thinking of Pednault of HNIC and the few times I had trouble trying to decipher what he was trying to say.

Kostopoulos: I don't know why HAB fans here are mentioning his losses during fights...why not mention the big heart he had and how he always stood up for his teammates (would it have been better if he thought "you know what? I can't win most fights, might as well not stand up for my teammates!" (Kosto is a warrior and he deserves respect for the heart/grit he demostrated while wearing the CH...I thought Gainey would have re-signed him! but I'm happy he got a contract somewhere else).
Imagine this:
3rd...Moen - Lapierre - Kostopoulos (solid 3rd line for playoffs, maybe missing some scoring a la D'Agostini, but still...I'm happy with what we have)
4th...Stewart - Chip/Metro - Laraque

Pedneault/PedNO: don't want to be mean, but he was atrocious on CBC...he can barely speak proper french. You'd think the job requirement would at least ask for decent english (it's not even decent french on RDS!).

Carbo: let's just think of Carbo as a player back in the day...he was "un vrai guerrier, specialiste a la defensive (a real defensive, smart warrior). I wish him all the best of luck on CBC...should be entertaining to hear what he has to say... I also hope to see him one day on RDS. Does this mean we will get to see him with Cherry and McLean sometimes? (that would/ can be a treat to watch!).
I'd prefer Carbo VS PEdneault on CBC....anyday. It was mean to put Pedneault out there with that atrocious/heavy "Henglish Haccent of is"...looking forward to seeing Carbo on CBC (something new) .

Congrats Carbo and all the best.

We certainly wouldn't want you to find another job coaching elsewhere in the NHL and pull a Pat Burns, a Michel Therrien, an Alain Vigneault or a Claude Julien elsewhere, would we?
