Haven't seen anything yet but he's talking like he's signed and Russo is even beginning to mention bits and pieces about it....

In the R.S.S. feed on wild.nhl.com they stated that Sykora will wear #17 for the pre-season games. They mention it because it talks about how Danny Irmen used to be #14 but gave that up for Havlat and switched to #17, but now he'll have to switch again to #40

Do not know much about the depth and leadership on the team, where does he fit in?

So do you think he gets to wear an "A" this year?

I would think that there are a few guys that have been here a few years that would get an "A" before Sykora.

I'm thinking Koivu gets the C and guys that would be in line before Sykora are:
Brunette
Nolan
Schultz (still young, experienced and will be here for quite awhile-player rep as well)

I think that is a HUGE no:

Koivu will have the "C"

And the Alternates at this point are coming down to these four:

Burns (He will have one no doubt about that)
Nolan (Huge leader on this team and is one of the most veteran on the team)
Bruno (Goes without saying)
Havlat (Might take awhile and for Nolan to probably get hurt, but he'll wear it if that happens)
