Screw that Duck hunt dog. You can kill 10 000 ducks in a row, but miss just one and he'll still laugh at you like it's the funniest thing ever.

His post-match interview... you feel like he's been part of the team for years.

Spacek surprised me from what I heard. More offensive than what I expected, and really helped the transition efficiently.

Gomez also played a good game, was bringing the puck up ice efficiently.

Cammalleri, well what can I add? Great goal, great pass, great vision, always on the free spots looking to fire off... I love him already. Watched his post-game interview, and the more time goes by, the more I think he's a good choice to be the next captain. At the very least, he'll get the A on his jersey.

Subban had a weird game. Started great, and after had a hard 3rd period.

O'Byrne had some good times.

Lats seems to get more physical, but as I already said earlier, he's ruining his offensive talent with Lapierre. Several times tonight, he was great, set up Lapierre perfectly, only to see him miss a chance. Sorry, but these two players are clearly not on the same level as far as talent is taken into consideration.

Deharnais generally played good, Benoit had some tough times at the end of the game.

We'll see, but it definately shows promises.

I was the opposite... I guess. He surprised me by the sounds of how well defensively he was.

Did anyone stand out enough that you could say they'll make the team and stay with the big club? If anyone say the first half was Price playing buttefly or hybrid?

Great game, the new top line showed some nice chemistry. I think with JM putting a puck possession game plan into effect we will see the team score some nice goals this year! Having quality puck movers like Spacek on the back end will help with that no doubt.
I also liked the move to give the youngsters a chance to hold the lead in the third. Things didn't go super smoothly for PK, Benoit, White and co. but we still won and JM got a chance to see who's worth a second look later in the pre-season. Given that, the fact that the Panthers got back in the game does not worry me at all. Hopefully the vets won't let 3 goal leads disappear like that in the regular season!

That calamari kid looked pretty good, I think he has a chance. He'll have to play on one of the top two lines if he does though....

The worst part of the evening was watching ad nauseam the ad for the movie "Le corps de Jennifer". Jeesus. How much did they pay for that load of crap?

Just came back from BC...It was Crazy...

Some points:

-Gomez is very fast
-Camalleri will score 40-40 easily, he did everything on the ice...created, scored, deked, etc.
-PK was a bit shaky in his own zone a few times, had trouble controlling the puck, but always made very nice transition passes to the open winger.
-Sanford wasn't bad, made a huge mistake behind his net, but repaired it with a huge save (although any natural scorer would've scored this)
-Obyrne gave a nice hit, plus looked much better in his fight.
-D'Agostini was bad on one PP, but he was flying on the ice.
-Price was sexy
-Brisebois gave away so many pucks it wasn't even funny

Magan Fox in a movie = a lot of revenue.

Mike Cammalleri with the understatement of the season.

"That Markov is pretty good on the powerplay"

(check TSN.ca)

This is kinda OT, but there is also a game against the Senators tomorrow at 7:30 and it's on RDS as well.

Two things of note though:
-Kovalev will NOT be playing
-Jared Cowen makes his Senators debut in the lineup
-Pascal Leclaire will be in nets
-No Erik Karlsson, but there will be Michalek in his first game since the trade

Looking forward to it!
