This is kinda OT, but there is also a game against the Senators tomorrow at 7:30 and it's on RDS as well.
Two things of note though:
-Kovalev will NOT be playing
-Jared Cowen makes his Senators debut in the lineup
-Pascal Leclaire will be in nets
-No Erik Karlsson, but there will be Michalek in his first game since the trade
Cammy= Great all around even forchecked very deep
Gomez= still not in full mode but he was threading through players and passes through them very nice
A. Kost= Got Rattled alot not bad but not good either
Spacek= Wow he's ugly, looks like a mushroom but very suprising. Good fast shot, great on the PP, great transition, pretty physical, great on D
Gorges= had a really rough night
Obyrne= was loosing his man and puck all night but should be better than last year
Lappy= same ole lapierre
Lats= I really hope he continues playing like this. Played with a mean streak, thundering hits. Great vision tonight made some really nice passes
D'ago= He got faster and stronger. Great shot
Price= Back to a hybrid was not going down to fast looked very focused
Sanford= they left him dry but he kept us in the game
Subban= Still doesnt know how to play a defensive game in the NHL. Half the time he was out way out in the offensive zone. Needs to calm down and focus. Talent and hockey sense are there so he'll be fine but needs to go to hamilton and focus on his own zone a bit more.
Desharnais= crafty litter bugger. Relentless tenacious, really good hands and hockey sense. Impressed me
Stewart= cant wait to see him and moen running around crashing ppl

Who was that kid Benoit ???? Great speed and vision, very impressive!
Lapierre and Stewart where the best defensive forwards in the lineup. I love the way they both close gaps on the opositions' puck cariers.
Sanford is very small.
Lats is Lats, hitting too late, and always out of position. He did make a few nice plays, but I'm still not sold on the kid.
PK looked nervous and has potential to be great, amazing shot in the second, almost scored a nice one, but has more to learn defensively and from what I see he is not ready to be a top 6 in october.
Cammy-Kost-Gomez will be the new Tanguay-Kovy-Koivu but hopefully healthy!

Desharnais REALLY stood out for the younger players. Quick feet, nice hands.

I read somewhere in an RDS article that Halak would be playing tomorrow. I guess Mayer sits it out if Jaro is indeed playing.
Surely won't be as exciting as tonight's team, but I can't wait to see a full Habs game, it's been long overdue. Can't wait to see MaxPac - Pleks - Gionta as well.
As for tonight, first Cammalleri goal and it's already his trademark one-knee-down one-timer, I love that shot already and I have the impression we're gonna see lots of that this year. Nice goal from Gomez, Andrei showing good patience with the puck. Good to see D'ags doing well, I'm sure he can be a Ryder-type player for us. Price looked good, but I'll need to see a full game before I form any kind of opinion on his play.
Not stressed with the play in the 3rd, it's the pre-season and JM wanted to test the young guys in a lead-protecting role, it's alright if they made a few mistakes.
Anyway, it feels good to have some Habs hockey back on TV! Can't wait for a full game tomorrow.

also back from the game, i disagree on a few points. Gorges played very well and won all of his battles in the corners, pretty typical game for him i'd say, didn't really stand out but didn't make any mistakes either.
O'byrne I think had his strongest game in a LONG time as a hab...layed out some thunderous hits, got a few shots on net from the point, and beat the **** out of of cambell in that fight. He looked a lot more comfortable than last year.
Latendresse...had some giant hits too, he didn't get any faster but was solid in the cycle along the boards. Went down like a ton of bricks when he got slashed which caused O'byrne to drop the gloves and stand up for him.
Also, PK seemed to have trouble keeping up in our end and seemed a little shaky out there. He definitely needs to spend a year in Hamilton.
I didn't see the game but god I find d'Agostini as great offensive potential. Is shot was perfect. I think he may have is chance with plekanec/Gomez and I would really like to see that. Lats could play there too but is chemistry with Laps gives us 3 very good line.
he seemed to have a good camp.
