Moller Assigned to Manchester / Other Prospect Moves

http://www.insidesocal.com/kings/200...anchester.html

I guess they don't want him getting 6 minutes a night on the 4th line, I think its a good idea to let him get 1st line minutes in the AHL. I'm sure he will get some call ups during the season.

A bit of a surprise but I think he'll get a call up by the 10th game.

Not only Moller, a ton of prospects have been released or assigned.

http://kings.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=499202

I wasn't expecting this large of a crop until later in the week given the fact that 4 pre-season games remain.

35 players left in camp.

Manchester will be very young. But pretty ******* tough.

edit: how can Colten Teubert be assigned to Manchester? He's 19.

Not surprised Schenn and Clifford are staying, and I'm glad Cliche is as well.

Poor Moller, he has too much character to let this get him down, but it has to sting a little.

Oh well, he and Loktionov and perhaps Mikus on the RW should tear the AHL to shreds.

Moller should flourish in Manchester. That's the right place for him, and I'm sure he'll be back in the NHL in no time.

It would be not fair for Moller to keep him on the 4th line...The first 3 lines are pretty set right now.....Purcell is older and looked better....but he is only on a one year deal and Frolov is a UFA so who knows next year....Moller could steal one of those spots...

Wait a sec, what happened to Bagnall and Zeiler...? They aren't on the list anymore...

Looks like the 4th line center spot is between Cliche, Lewis, and Richardson.....Harrold could always be the #7 spare D and forward.....

You know the team has gotten better when we can send Moller to Manchester with 4 preseason games still left.

Teubert was not assigned to Manchester. He was assigned to his junior team.

Good move and it is the right one. I finally see some significant improvement being made. So far so good. I expect them to take the remaining preseason games more seriously now that the roster is getting closer and closer to being finalized.

I have to admit though that I do feel a little bad about Moller because he was the only absolutely confident player in camp. He was the only one dealing in absolutes and claiming that he will make the team and we will make the playoffs. I hope they sat him down and he took it the right way.

They edited the page. At first it listed Teubert as being assigned to Manchester. You all are just tardy to the party.

Manchester is going to be tougher, younger and more skilled...

Moller, Mikus, and Loktionov bring the skill and Nolan brings toughness...They might need to bring in like a Ryan Flinn type (experienced AHL fighter) to protect all these kids if Westgarth sticks in LA.

I'm not as high on Moller as everyone else is. He's not NHL ready, and shouldn't have been in the NHL last year.

No surprise that he was sent down.

What does Richardson bring to this team? He is small and quick, but is weak on the puck, can't score, is an average passer and not a particularly good defensive player.

Some interesting guys left in camp.
Make or break time I think.
Campbell, Gauthier, Bagnall, and Piskula.

I don't believe Richardson is on a two-way, is he? I am pretty sure he has to go through waivers, and if so then I can't believe that he would make it through.
