Dubi skates today for the first time. I doubt he is in the lineup. Last 2 games for sure

I hope Gaborik plays as well. H*** throw him on a line with Grachev and they will provide enough scoring for everyone , anyways Let's go Rangers!!

i don't think you'll see gaborik or dubinsky until the washington home and home. probably why torts didn't cut down the roster as much as he said he was going to at this point.

Kotalik-Drury-Lisin
Higgins-Prospal-Gaborik
Dubinsky (likely for Avery)-Anisimov-Callahan
Grachev-Boyle-Parenteau
(Brashear and Voros are on the ice as well).
Semenov-Gilroy
Del Zotto-Girardi
Sanguinetti-Redden
Rozsival-Staal

from Ranger Rants, morning skate lines, and looks like Grachev won't need to be first call up

haha I am sure he is fine. Twitter does suck when it comes to stuff like that. Likely just a bruise and its the preseason so sit out for the next game or two if so then play in the last and he is fine

BTW those lines are all over the place. meh whatever that's what camp is for

Well if you guys wanted to know what a 4 line roling offense would look like on this team, thats probably it.

More likely however that they are just trying to give Parenteau and Grachev another shot or two to impress.

As everyone knows, Torts doesn't like to use four lines, he likes to use three. So therefore they just won't put ANY player that has offensive skills in there game on that line because they will not be able to play them much. Especially with young people like Lisin and Grachev, they wouldn't have them on the fourth line because it truely would stunt their development. Therefore my fourth line would be the one we have seen in the last few games because I can't see anyone else on the fourth line.

Good that Lidstrom and Zetterberg are not playing. Maybe we'll actually score a few goals again

Marian Gaborik: (Groin) Ranger Debut Set for Monday - 9/21/2009 7:52:41 AM

Update:
Gaborik is expected to make his Rangers debut Monday against the Red Wings, according to the New York Post.

Recommendation:
Gaborik has slowly been working back from the groin tweak, so it's our guess that he's back to full strength or the Rangers would have kept him off the ice for longer. He should be fine going forward, though injuries are always a concern with Gaborik.

The Rangers website has Voros on the roster with both Dubinsky and Avery scratched.

Well... Franzen - Datsyuk - Holmstrom combined with Kronwall and Stuart on the back-end should be a good test tonight.

Yeah, Gross says the scratches are:

Quote:
Sean Avery, Donald Brashear, Brandon Dubinsky, Michal Rozsival and Marc Staal are the scratches for the Rangers tonight against Detroit.
edit: and that Avery is having his knee checked out by the Rangers team doctor

eh, Gaborik says he's not completely 100% but good to go...Staal also had a groin issue and that's why he didn't come out for the third period in the last game, and is sitting out tonight.

Groin issues are just pretty damn common for hockey players
