How so? He signed a 4 Year 20 Million Dollar Contract when the Salary Cap was 39 Million.

Exactly. If you do the math, 4 mil per year in a 39 million dollar cap world is the equivalent of 5.8 per year in a 56.8 million dollar cap world.

Savard will probably get 6.5 million next year, maybe more on the open market. I for one would rather not, but it depends on what else is available at center in the open market.
