I'll be 18 October 4th and would love to join then!

What exactly does being a member of the Jackets Backers entitle you too?

Sadly it doesn't entitle you to anything until you're 21. We have road trips sponsored by beer companies and as it stands currently, 21 means 21. Someday if we get big enough the idea would be to take bus trips where there would be an "drunk bus" and a "non-drunk bus" and then we could accept members under 21.

Thanks to Brian (and Julie) for organizing the Clippers game event. It was nice to meet, and chat with, the other JB's there. Looking forward to going on a road trip this season.

Wish we would have stayed out in left field pavilion area (can't remember the name) to get a better view of the OF "whiffing" on his attempt to catch that fly ball. Kind of like watching that pro golfer (Johnson?) dubbing those chip shots last Saturday in Akron. Makes them all seem so much more human.

Really glad to hear the Clippers game went well!

Sorry I didn't make it - work kicked my butt all over the map last night, and by the time I got out of the office it was 8:30.

However, I did get something useful done last weekend:

$3 at Home Depot, some drywall anchors, and a bit of elbow grease.

Also and FYI, the Backers are giving away preseson tickets to members who are paid up this year. You just need to email and request them.

I wonder if one of the old school glass-front gun cases would be deep enough and tall enough for hockey sticks. If so one might be found on craigslist and I know a guy willing to use his pickup.
