Hence why they were not listed on the round of previous cuts and not listed on the camp roster, they were waived to be assigned. Zeiler goes exactly where he should be. A shame he was given a one-way contract... should have been one-way to Manchester.

**** yes!

Finally! I find myself being less and less disappointed with management these days.

Doesn't Zeiler have to pass waivers?

YESS!!!, this is a huge moment in Kings history. . . Zeiler going down to the AHL is almost as good as drafting Drew Doughty. . well, not really but you get what I'm saying

He did clear waivers. Apparently nobody was looking to fill a roster spot with a player who has the ability to crash into the boards and make loud sounds.

Okay, so, we can probably remove Cliche off that list soon. I'd also argue that the organization is going to let Ivanans play out the last year of his contract and bring up Westgarth next year. I assume they'll keep Harrold because he can also play defense.

My guess is that it will be between Lewis and Richardson.

Touché but one can hope he can somehow be claimed by Toronto or some other team...

The remaining roster spot battles appear to be: (not that they're all fighting for the same spot.)

Lewis vs. Clifford vs. Schenn vs. Clune vs. Richardson vs. Cliche

Westgarth vs. Ivanans

Drewiske vs. Campbell vs. Piskula vs. Hickey vs. Martinez

Ersberg vs. Bernier

the fact that he'll be paid the same coin regardless of where he'd play, which was inevitably going to be in the AHL, was just a reward for being the dutiful son.

no biggie.

if that's the case, it may likely end up as Richardson to start the season because i don't think Lewis is subject to waivers.

Remember, teams can carry 2 spare forwards and one spare D, or the other way around....2 spare D and one forward.....

Harrold probably sits as the #7 D and that leaves 3 guys playing and 2 spares at forward....so on my list only 1 needs to be sent down and the other 5 stay....Unless the Kings opt to use Harrold at forward and keep a Piskula type, then 2 forwards get sent down.

I say Cliche goes down and the rest stay.....Ivanans and Richardson are on one way deals.

Thank God the Zeiler experiment is over with!! I can finally start a season without being PO'd that guys like Calder and Zeiler were occupying roster spots. I thought that Bagnall had a good second half last year, and thought he might be a big physical replacement for OD eventually. Then again, with so many talented d prospects, a player is going to have to show exceptional ability to crack this roster. I'm getting more excited for the season as the minutes pass. Go Kings!

i think Harrold will be the 13th forward and that they will carry (with Harrold) what is essentially 8 defensemen.

Drewiske is the #6 D...Terry Murray said so in so many words...Hickey, Martinez, Campbelll will all go down....Piskula could maybe stick at the #7 if they go with Harrold at forward....

So the coach isn't responsible for putting his lineup together? Isn't it his job to put out the best possible combination of players as he sees fit? I find that hard to believe he has no say in the matter...
