Well except from captain Richards shooting a puck during practice so hard into his mouth it came out the rear end, he's doing just fine. The result was a visit to the dentist with a broken tooth and a missed game. Nice captain, he told reporters...welcome to the team.
I heard you guys beat Minnesota 5-1 at home, Jackets looking good there.
replace Syvret with Tollefsen and we're good to go
Id like to see how well Syvret does as our 6th. Maybe let OKT and Syvret rotate being the 6th D until one of them proves they can handle the job night in and night out.
Guys, I don't really know Flyers cause don't really follow them, but I think this year they're gonna be one of the strongest team in the east. I took Coburn and Hartnell in my pool, do you think they'll be better than last year? Are they good on ice or they just take advantage of other players?
Allthought pyro is having a good game today. People need to remember that we were basically playing against AHL players with a sprinkle of detroit regulars.
Powe on the first line would be a disaster. Every team in the league could contain Gags and Richy if they were playing with Powe.
They really need to go with 2 power lines and then an ok 3rd line . A full season of Powe playing the PK and the addition of Betts who is great on the PK and Lappy to take up some PK time should be an ideal situation to run 2 big scoring lines since they wont have to have Gags, Richy and Carter out there for half of all 10 of our penalties every game.
If it were up to me i think the ideal situation would be something like...
Gagne-Richards-Briere
Hartnell-Carter-Giroux
JVR-Powe-Pyorala
Carcillo-Betts-Lappy
Instead of spreading out the ES time between 3 lines to keep them fresh for the PK why not go with Betts and Powe as your #1 PK line? Running 3 attempted scoring lines will not help their problems with the ES play we saw last year.
