Nashville's slightly less than what we pay in the Bay Area.

Our winter league is $7690 for 2 pre-season, 20 regular season and guarenteed 2 playoff, with a chance at up to 9 playoff games.

base that on 11 players, and the 24 game minimum, we're look at around $30/game. Goalie on my team usually pays close to full price, but not always.

for my team, jerseys are furnished, two sets, white and dark, doesn't cost the players anything, but they dont get to keep them between games / at the end of the season. They can buy it at the end of a season for the price it costs to create a replacement jersey.

We have two referees/game, scorekeeper (live stats online), all games are filmed (we get a dvd after every game), music in the rink, and we play games on NHL sized ice and occaisionally on the Olympic sized ice.

Game times vary from 7-11 pm, and some earlier times on Sundays.

Summer League is 2 + 10 +2 (guarenteed) and is around $5500 / team.

The beer prices are actually good compared to other arena. The Wings are brutal.

The best part about that bar is when the Cougars are playing. I dont have to drive to Oakville to watch the Blades and have a beer.

Last year, my league was $4915 per team, plus $20 per player for insurance. That was for 30 one hour games with 3 refs and timekeeper. Playoffs were extra.

Summer leagues (two different seasons) are $199/piece. Pretty good considering it's Friday night ice times, and they have to pay for two refs and a couple of score-keepers.

Winter is 20 games, but more expensive...about $400. The Dallas Stars do an excellent job in the city and surrounding communities of Dallas helping make hockey known, affordable and likable.

In the coming years, you will see some NHL talent emerge from the Dallas,Texas metroplex, and who ever would have thunk that?

Mine are usually between $16 and $20 US per game. I avoid anything more than about $20 per game - not because of the value (they might have more refs or better times or whatever so it might be a good deal still), but just because that's what I'm comfortable committing to every week.

The "main" league I play in charges each player $320 for 16 games, with a $10 discount if you sign up before a certain date, so it's just under $20 per game. That includes one ref and a scorekeeper, for three 17-minute running time periods. Clock stops in the last 2 minutes if it's a tie or one-goal game.

The local area-run adult league charges a whopping $510CAD per season. I haven't played in it so I don't know what it works out to....

...i miss the days when I got 1 game/1 practice a week for $310 (and when my parents paid for it!!)

It's not exactly a beer league but mine costs 700 a season. That's 8 games, 3 playoff games and one practice every other week.

That doesn't include the travel for the games. Four of them and playoffs are out of state.

I guess I should look into some beer leagues!

Mine is $470 per person.

I think we play something like 22 games and 2 guaranteed playoff games. Works out to about $20 per game I think.

If more than half of your games are out of state, that's nothing at all like a beer league.

Yikes, my head is still spinning after paying all the fees. I play at Sharks Ice downtown, and am paying $550 league fees + $33 USA hockey registration + $176 for jerseys and socks. Yeeeesh. Over $700 altogether.

Is it the best facility in town (and I hear the biggest one in the west), I believe 22 games + 2 preseason games, have to qualify for the playoffs, 2 refs, scorekeeper, standings and stats online, the whole chimichanga.

Yeah...

... I guess I just feel like I should be getting more out of it because it's not a beer league. But I'm not, so it feels like a beer league. I dunno! It's fun most of the time though so I keep with it...

I had to cut way back on ice hockey because of fees. Typically, we pay 225 - 250 per player for a 12 or so game season. Couple of playoff games free, but not many teams in each division so only lasts an extra two weeks I guess. Throw in USA hockey too.

Pickup has gotten really expensive too. Close to $17 for an hour. Been mixing in plenty of roller hockey to keep playing though.

its about $1200 per team for 10games + playoffs.

Usually break it down to about 10 players @ $120 each and goalie plays free.

I don't want to derail the thread but it's not the $530 fee that bugs me as much as the 1/2 dozen or so 11:30 PM time slots we have to put up with.

Nothing like getting off the ice at 1:00am, home at 2:00am, on a Tuesday morning and having to face a work day in a few hours.

Anyone else getting these late night slots?
