Our winter league is $7690 for 2 pre-season, 20 regular season and guarenteed 2 playoff, with a chance at up to 9 playoff games.
base that on 11 players, and the 24 game minimum, we're look at around $30/game. Goalie on my team usually pays close to full price, but not always.
for my team, jerseys are furnished, two sets, white and dark, doesn't cost the players anything, but they dont get to keep them between games / at the end of the season. They can buy it at the end of a season for the price it costs to create a replacement jersey.
We have two referees/game, scorekeeper (live stats online), all games are filmed (we get a dvd after every game), music in the rink, and we play games on NHL sized ice and occaisionally on the Olympic sized ice.
Game times vary from 7-11 pm, and some earlier times on Sundays.
Summer League is 2 + 10 +2 (guarenteed) and is around $5500 / team.
I'm not a big fan of the food (or the prices) although I did try the Philly Cheese Steak the last time I was there and it was quite good. It's nice to have a bar where you can watch your friends games from though. And the beer is always cold.
The beer prices are actually good compared to other arena. The Wings are brutal.
The best part about that bar is when the Cougars are playing. I dont have to drive to Oakville to watch the Blades and have a beer.
Mine are usually between $16 and $20 US per game. I avoid anything more than about $20 per game - not because of the value (they might have more refs or better times or whatever so it might be a good deal still), but just because that's what I'm comfortable committing to every week.
The "main" league I play in charges each player $320 for 16 games, with a $10 discount if you sign up before a certain date, so it's just under $20 per game. That includes one ref and a scorekeeper, for three 17-minute running time periods. Clock stops in the last 2 minutes if it's a tie or one-goal game.
Yikes, my head is still spinning after paying all the fees. I play at Sharks Ice downtown, and am paying $550 league fees + $33 USA hockey registration + $176 for jerseys and socks. Yeeeesh. Over $700 altogether.
Is it the best facility in town (and I hear the biggest one in the west), I believe 22 games + 2 preseason games, have to qualify for the playoffs, 2 refs, scorekeeper, standings and stats online, the whole chimichanga.
If more than half of your games are out of state, that's nothing at all like a beer league.
... I guess I just feel like I should be getting more out of it because it's not a beer league. But I'm not, so it feels like a beer league. I dunno! It's fun most of the time though so I keep with it...
I had to cut way back on ice hockey because of fees. Typically, we pay 225 - 250 per player for a 12 or so game season. Couple of playoff games free, but not many teams in each division so only lasts an extra two weeks I guess. Throw in USA hockey too.
Pickup has gotten really expensive too. Close to $17 for an hour. Been mixing in plenty of roller hockey to keep playing though.
In Logan Lake, BC last year i payed $160 and another $50 for the year end tourny(the $50 covered the in locker room beers for the tourny too). There r 3 teams and we play Tuesday and Thrusday nights every week from Oct to end of March.
