Simmer = Charlie

Simbabwe is ****ing ridiculous, but made me laugh.

Simmy is like every other stupid hockey nickname.

How about, you dont get a nickname until you earn one.

The more I read the more I can't wait for the season to start so I can see this team in action. I really feel like good things regoing to happen this season.

Geez, Reaper smash... Hey, if Doughnut gets a nickname then Simmerino deserves one.

I can't wait until Loktionov beefs up a little and reaches the NHL so I can start calling him the Lok Ness Monster.

I too saw that NHL.com didn't even have a box score for our game. That's just unacceptable. A box score is really not that much to ask... unless of course we're talking about the la times
Found a boxscore, in case anybody missed it...

Thanks.

Took 'em long enough, but at least they did it.

Weird that they have Purcell as on the ice for the Bailey goal. Could have sworn he was still serving OD's penalty. Must be a goof.

I'm good with Loki, but I can't call him Jimmy Neutron. I tried, and I don't like it.

If he plays with Handzus (Zues), Frolov (Alexander the Great), then we could have the "Gods of War" line.

Wasn't Thor's Hammer the only thing the uncrediable Hulkster feared? And that hammer had a name... hmmm,
me thinks tis some funky lettering from the Vikings language... but something like Mjollner or some such... close!

So essentially you could just call him Thor's Hammer! haha

How could I forget! Good one, I do believe it's Mjolnir, or somespelling, but that is great. I felt like there was a name somewhat close to Moller that I wasn't thinking of, and all I could come up with was Fenrir, Odin and Thor.

Moller, Mjolnir. I like it.

Too bad we won't get to call him that for however long it takes him to get back to the Kings.

You know, as nice it is that we won the game, it would have been better to see one of Cliche, Lewis or Richardson score a goal.

It sounded like they all had good games, but that none of them really stood out. Over the radio, it sounded like Cliche played the best game of the 3, but who the hell really knows.

Both Ivanans and Westgarth took unnecessary and stupid penalties, so that doesn't really help anything there. At least Hickey seemed to stand out, though someone on Hammond who was there said Martinez had another really good game as well.

Don't worry, only one of my posts will get deleted. Couldn't agree more with the complaints about no pre season games being televised. Prime Ticket isn't exactly boiling over with sporting events to show this time of year. You'd think 1 corporate guy in a suit would put it together that maybe televising a game or 2 would maybe get some new fans to either watch or buy tickets to a game? I mean it's not like these games are full of fights and action or anything. It just seems like a real dumb decision to me to just start the season off and catch every single non die hard hockey fan by surprise that the season has started. Don't the TV guys need a warmup game to have their act together?

I vote Kurrilino as our radio play-by-play announcer.

BTW, I didn't listen to the whole game but I guess Simmonds/Simmer/Simbabwe/Simmy/Simba/the other Wayne/Dark Wayne had a good game.

OD remains a great partner for Doughty. Cut OD's ice time if you must, given his age, but keep this guy in the lineup please. He sets a great tone for the Kings. I am so glad he had Doughty's back in this Kansas City game.

Although I'd gladly watch a kings game over anything else right now, any network would be out of their minds to show a preseason kings game over a Dodger or Angels game right now.

It'd be like showing a spring training Dodger game in April over a kings game.....if the kings were in first place in the western conferance....and more people actually cared about hockey.

Oh I totally agree with you, no network would ever do that of course. But I wouldn't be surprise if they did put a spring training game over a Kings game. Hockey gets no respect I swear. The greatest game ever. Well I'm just a die hard hockey fan so it's just my opinion but yeah, No respect.

Simmer is a kick ass nick name, and one given by the players to Simmonds. It's also better than Simmy, Simba, and any of the others that are either slightly queer or slightly rascist that I've been reading.
