If we still had Brian Boyle, we could do the whole "Simmer has gone to Boyle!"

Yeah the whole 'not showing goals' thing kinda sucks.

I really hope he comes through today. Seeing the Simmonds fight was nice, but that was really rather pointless to watch.

Kings finally decided to stand up for each other...thank god....but that is what happens when you add Clune and Westgarth to the line-up.

Interesting that the Isles used our radio broadcast... did they not even have a radio team there?

Good to actually see the highlights, all in all Simmonds looks to have had a good game, the first goal is on him though, and you would have never known without having seen the highlights. Also on Doughty's goal, sweet pass from Frolov.

Howie Rose (Matteau! Matteau! Matteau!) who does radio for the Islanders also does Mets games... my guess was there was a scheduling conflict.

I thought Nuevo York was a big city or somethin'? They can't even afford to find different announcers for their sports teams? Must be hard to live in the poverty of the middle east... or the Far East as it were! Think if we had Vinny doing our games... There goes Motta from first sliding into second past the goalie! LOL

Even if they have no Native New Yorker talent you'd think they could import some from the West Coast of somethin'? Astounding!

Believe me I'm not making excuses for them. The Islanders also have Billy Jaffe and another PBP guy available who does radio at times as well. Howie Rose is beloved in New York. He did Rangers broadcasts for quite a while before moving over to the Islanders - and of course his work for the Mets. Kenny Albert (Marv's son) does the Ranger games on radio now. Sam Rosen does TV PBP for the Rangers.

I'm guessing they got the feed form the arena directly and the arena probably mixed in the audio. Given who owns the arena , I'm guessing that had more to do with why Nick's voice was there.

Kool Tone....

Your so professional Tony, thanks for the explainations was just having some fun with the east coasters. I am sure they have lots of talented guys doing their stuff!
But as I am a native Cut Throat Trout from California I never listened to any of the east coast feeds...

Thanks as always for your insights an info mate.
