Well he was supposed to go first round in his draft year, but got hurt, I dont remember if it was his back or not, but that's why he slipped as far as he did.

Also I remember someone saying that he was the 2nd best guy in that draft behind Thornton, or something to that effect. . .

didn't he get hurt like 2 years after? also, i think luongo was pretty high up there in hype, i relaly doubt barney was really second best in the draft. either way, i think he has potential to be a second liner on any team in the league. i like hte way he plays and think he can easily reach this point if injuries don't prevent him from doing so.

He reminded me a lot of Keith Primeau. He plays very physical, yet he doesn't park himself in front of the net. He'll actually move around.

He had good reports during his draft year and the Kings were happy they drafted him. I dont recall the reason either but he was projected a first round selection as I recall. The Kings according to some found out that he had a major back problem after he was signed. He was born with it but until a year or so ago no one was able to deal with it.

Can't wait until the injury bug ditches him. The guy can be electric when he gets going. He has endured so much b.s. related to injuries so young in his hockey career. I wish him all the best..I really like Barney!

Let's hope not. I feel for him too. Hopefully this curse of his goes away.

Probably if they trade him. This whole injury curse thing goes a lot farther than just the Kings. It seems as if a lot of our teams have been plagued with it as long as my silly butt has graced this earth.

And yes I live in L.A.....born, raised and haven't escaped yet!
