Are you talking about the O'Byrne-Kaleta fight or the Mara-Gaustad fight? Because I saw the O'Byrne fight and he won that one.

I was at the game.

Did anyone see that kid in the red jersey playing for those Timbits teams? Holy crap, that kid is going to be the next Crosby. He was insane. He's like 5 years old and he did an end to end rush, deked out the whole team, and completely fooled the goalie before he rang a backhander off the crossbar. I couldn't even lift the puck at that age.

They actually showed that in the game recap on RDS.ca...pretty crazy.

The Habs won without Markov, which is a good sign.

Beautiful fight. I hate Kaleta with a passion and it was refreshing to see him on the receiving end of a healthy dosage of fists. He fell to his knees while grabbing his face.

OB's best fight to date I would say.

**** Kaleta.

(I haven't seen a YouTube clip yet...)
Good fight but OB gave a bit too many punch on the skull (which is bad for his hand) and not in the face. He landed 2 out of 5 i think. Would've loved to see him get 5 out of 5 on that b*s*rd

What a ridiculous thing to say! What has "The Monster" played....3 periods of exhibition games? Ludicrous for sure to say something like this!

Remember all the hype from the Leaf fans about Justin Pogge? How he was going to be so much better than Price? Where is HE now?

Not to wish any bad luck to Gustavsson...but let's wait to see if he sticks with the Leafs first of all...and if he does...let's see how he does in games that mean something...the Red Wings did not have their best players dressed...by any stretch of the imagination...so it's way too early to get too excited just yet.

I am really tired of all the Price bashing on this board...what's up with that? It's Halak this and Halak that...but you know what guys?...no matter what all you "so called experts" think...Price is the number one guy here...so live with it...it is a bonus that we have TWO good goalies...and it is great to know that when Price gets a break...Halak can step in and do the job also...

The main thing is that we WIN....more often than we lose...

Did Pyatt get the dirty hit because Lats and Laps were hitting some buffalo players?

It was Kaleta, why is there any further explenation that you need?

It was just a run of the mill dirty hit... in preseason...

The commentators were saying something like Lats have been giving bit hits to the Sabres players and that might be a payback (dirty) hit.

The Pyatt/Kaleta incident happened at the 2:53 of the first.

http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreport...0/PL010087.HTM

The only hit by Lats/Laps was Lats on Kaleta just before it.

i like how TSN showed the part of the fight where Kaleta was punching OB but didn't show the same part as RDS where it's the opposite..

Well right before that Kaleta hit, Lapierre and Latendresse sandwiched a guy and that hit actually damaged the glass. Maybe the Pyatt hit was payback for that

I am more optimistic then normal with this season. Are we going to win the Cup? Probably not, heck 1/30 chance, but I think if these guys can mesh properly and early and Price plays like he can we could very well challenge. Go Habs Go

The only thing I'm optimistic about is that we will have a very exciting season. I don't know if it'll be a 1st place in the east exciting, barely make the playoffs exciting or omg media crapfest exciting season, but it'll be exciting.

Have you checked the Detroit's line up ? None of their top six-seven players were there.

But the Leafs have better rookies than ours....

He played the Red Wings without Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Franzen, Holmstrom, Lidstrom and Rafalski, and all of a sudden he's better than Price. Some people are just clueless and there is no sense in arguing with them.

How about "We're getting the first overall draft pick!" exiting?

Too early to sign the kid?
