These defensive pairings have got to go.

Staal-Girardi and Redden-Rozy are having an awful game.

I'm assuming that at least one of those pairings will be broken up when Gilroy plays to avoid playing 2 rookies on the same pairing.

NYR looks as though they lack chemistry where as Washington has plenty of it.

One thing I noticed from this period:

Roszival sucks. Of course, I didn't need to watch this period to already know that...

I did, I am going down from my study, watching Golf, since I played the game since the age of 9/10. Tour Championship here I come.

Their team is virtually identical to last season, so yeah

Not many positives to pull from the first.

Three giveaways in the defensive zone, one horrible one which lead to a goal by Roszival.

Ineffective 5-on-3 power play with no real pressure or scoring opportunities.

Not legitimate scoring chances after the first five minutes.

Was Semin's shot deflected or did Lundqvist just not see it? He didn't have much of a chance on the Laich goal but I'm not 100% sure on Semin's.

Lundqvist was screened by Staal, you could see by the glare he gave Staal after the goal that he couldn't see the puck.

true...I was more so saying that to point out his salary is less than redden's and it might be somewhat easier to move him than redden, though still a difficult task since he is way overpaid

Blowszival will be KHL bound in 2 - 3 years time. He's an absolute horror show.

rozsival and redden are horrendous. i would rather have 2 parking cones out there so at least there wouldnt be like 11 million in cap between them.

I could have sworn I saw it go off of someone's skate in front, I may be wrong though

Getting in here late... but Rozsival is garbage.

Just trade the guy for what ever you can get.

Rozie and "give-away" are quickly becoming synonymous.
