I was the goal judge on that net last night and I gotta say I was confused to see the puck come flying down that way without hearing a whistle, I just figured that since everybody was still skating after it and the crowd started to get noisy that the play was still live, then I started laughing.

I dislike being a goal judge. I am usually in the penalty box for the TC Northstars.
I watched both Texas VS Wenatchee games last weekend. Both nights were good games. The Sat. game was marred by penalties and some fights. Texas has a good team but faced a tough Wenatchee team in their Home arena. Close to 3,000 fans in the seats for the Fri. game. I think there was close to 4,000 buts in seats sat. I bet the Tornadoes are looking forward to the Wild playing in their arena for some payback. Wenatchee picked up a new goaly and he played a great game. according to NAHL Carruth was picked up by the Portland Winterhawks. Texas's asst coach did a good job getting his players to focus after the coach was tossed.
Something I've been keeping this season. Pretty straight forward, Points Given is how many points other teams have earned themselves against the Tornado.
The Tornado sweep the NAHL leading Wenatchee Wild this weekend. Friday winning 3-1, and Saturday winning 2-1 in a 10 round shootout. The Tornado trailed in the shootout 2-0 after 3 rounds, and came back to score two straight, and send the shootout into extras. In the 7th round the Wild took the lead again, but once again the Tornado answered the call. In the 10th round James Poston scored for the Tornado to give Texas the win. WHAT A GAME!

Tornado sweep Fairbanks in Alaska this past weekend. In these last 5 games against Fairbanks the Tornado have taken 9 out of a possible 10 from the Ice Dogs.
Hats off to the Texas players. Both teams wore a remembrance decal on their helmets for a local young lady who was murdered recently. The pregame show was a tribute to her as well. The quality of young men was apparent by their agreeing to honor someone from a far away town. True sportsman! Good job Tornadoes. I am impressed.
The Tornado win game 1 of a 3 game set against the Springfield Jr. Blues coming from behind in a shootout. It's also the 2nd annual Pink in the Rink Weekend for the Tornado. Also the teams are going after the Flowers Cup, which is dedicated to a Tornado billet mom who lost her 10 year fight with cancer just last year when the Tornado weren't in action. Game 2 is tonight. Tornado could use another big win.
Tornado take Game 2 tonight in St. Louis. No team scored in the 1st as we headed to the 2nd tied 0-0. J.D Howard got the scoring going for Texas, as the Tornado went up 1-0. Then less then 3 minutes later Shane Sooth made it 2-0 heading into the 2nd intermission. After Tornado Ralfs Freibergs got called for a hook it was a 5 on 3 advantage for the Bandits with 7:01 remaining in the game, the Bandits scored on a one-timer and it was 2-1 Tornado. The Bandits with less then one minute remaining put the puck in the net, fortunately for the Tornado, the whistle blew. The one goal lead stood, and Jack Prince put the puck into the empty net to make it a 3-1 Tornado victory. Games 3 and 4 will be in Frisco Wednesday and Thursday. (Thursday if necessary).
