Gionta with Plekanec?

Everyone seems to be discussing this on different threads so I thought I would set up a poll to see where people think Gionta should go.

Cammalleri should play with Plekanec. If not, then Gionta.

Btw unrelated question, but why do they say on RDS (l'antichambre) that Andrei Kostitsyn can't play on the RW?

Because it's all a ploy to run the Brosephs out of town.

I want Gionta to play with Plekanec just to balance out our offensive lines.

I think Martin should reserve the possibility of reuniting Gionta and Gomez until later in the season. If Gionta produces with Plekanec, leave him there for now. If the fire goes out, shuffle the lines and put him with Gomez; it could be a useful mid-season tool if the Habs don't play up to par with expectations.

Someone from their panel wasn't liking AK's camp and was throwing possible explanations, one being that he's playing on the right instead of on the left. That's all it is really. Some other clown must have picked that up and made it sound worst.

Well one of the main reasons why we got Gionta was to play with Gomez because of their past chemistry. He should play with Gomez first and see how Plekanec does with other wingers. If it doesn't work, then switch up after.

I think it's the other way around. You know Gomez and Gionta will work so find other combinations that might and you can always revert to the "sure thing".

Cause Guillaume would do so much better than André on the right wing s'tafaire!

Pleks/Gionta. Plekanec needs Gionta to push him, and it gives Martin the option of throwing all three smurfs out at key times without forcing all three of them to play every game against the other teams best defenders.

Well said. I think this is it. Gionta brings out good in Pleks... like this we will have two great duos in Cammy and Gomez, Pleks and Gio. **** can go with the first line and Dags or Patches on the second.

Because they saw him play once on RW in the pre-season I think with Gomez and Camalleri on LW

We can play the smurf line on the PP and possibly against softer/slower teams, but the size issue will likely make it unfeasible as a regular line. That being said it leaves one of Cammy and Gio to play with Plecks. Personally I think we should put Gio with Gomez because I believe those two are going to be stronger 5 - 5 than a Cammy - Gomez duo would be.
Either way Cammy gets 1st unit PP time.

Personally I dont really care cause Im convinced Pleks can develop chimestry with either Gionta or Cammalleri, same with Gomez, I think its a win win situation.. But Im also convinced that Martin will reunit the "big 3" late in the games when we are looking for a goal, I think a line of MaxPac Pleks A.Kost still can provide us some offense and balance so its not like we get much weaker on the second line when it happens.. We will have 2 pretty dangerous lines thats for sure..

He should play with pleks only because pleks needs confidence ,and having someone with a much finish as gionta, who seems to gel with everyone will do him good. Cammalleri needs to get his shooting game back, though hes played well, and i think we should nurture the potential 40 foal scorer we signed by putting him with gomez, right?

I say put Gionta with Plekanec. After an absolutely horrendous season, Plekanec needs to get his confidence back on track and I think pairing him with Gionta would do just that.

Gionta and Plekanec had great (and I mean GREAT) chemestry together in the preseason. Gio's goal last night perfectly sums it up.

As for Cammalleri/Gomez, I think they have more chemestry than what we could think. Don't forget how great they were in their first game together, and how Gomez/Gionta litterally exploded once Cammalleri was put with them in the 3rd period.

I say let them together, and put Gionta and Plekanec together. Brian has a great influence on Plekanec. I haven't seen Tomas hustle that much since the regular season of 2007-2008. Put those two together, and I predict Pleks to go back to 60-70 points shape.
