I don't see why Bozak making the team will or should end Kulemin's chances.
Kulemin was a solid producer last year and I think will be a solid producer again this season -- while he is inconsistent point wise he's impressed me with his willingness this pre-season. I don't think there's anything in the minors that would benefit Kulemin at this point. All the learning he needs to do should be done at the NHL level.
Do you know what the major problem is right now? Nobody has clear cut established themselves, outside of Stalberg. Even some of the incumbents like Stempniak, and Blake have left wanting. Everyone's looking for a reason to bang one of the older players, who don't have much of a future with the team, out.
I think we just need to be patient, and eventually it (and Burke) will eventually sort itself out.
Asset management is what is going to rule the day. Guys that CAN be sent down (like Bozak) will be IMO. Injuries will happen...guys will slump and make the decisions easy. There's no need to rush to clear vets right now.
I think he has bigger balls and a more refined offensive skillset then Matty
I haven't seen that yet. Obviously there would an adjustment coming in to this league from the NCAA for Bozak, but after the first game he played, I thought Stajan played really well. Look to him to improve upon last years growth. That said, I am optomistic about Tyler as well.
4 points in 5 or 6 games in this pre-season for Kulemin...
yeah, I really don't understand how people are writing off Kulemin in here.
Bozak will likely get sent down for a stint. Maybe it has something to do with Poni missing the last game? and Mayers still out?
not like the Marlies will hurt his progress, and it buys time for Burke to try and maybe get some value out of his other centers.
