The "official" HF line on Gillies is that he is a 7B prospect, which means he is projected to be a second liner but could drop to the third line. I think that is a fair projection of where he could be within a year and a half or so. He spent a lot of time on the 4th line last year when he was in the lineup. That may have set him back a little bit vs playing 70+ games on the third line or better. That's my two cents anyway. Here is a minor scoop for you, when the new Top 20 comes out in a few days, Gillies is still #2. Not big news, but a scoop none the less lol.
