Though one might wonder why Detroit's obviously superior depth wouldn't have shined when Crosby and Malkin combined for just 11 points in the finals. Now you lose Hossa, Hudler, and Samuelsson and Detroit's depth is still so superior to Pittsburghs even though they didn't lose any top 9 forwards?

Whatever. Have fun with Williams and Bertuzzi!
Please don't get into an argument with fans on their own board. Especially about this. You are going to find a lot of negative comment if you continue to argue that Pittsburgh has superior depth.

I can't stand Williams simply cause he plays so soft. I'd like him more if he got his nose dirty, by that I mean throw his body around.

If I'm wrong, prove it. I'll gladly eat crow.

Don't expect too much from Eaves in this season. Remember when Cleary first came to us? 15 points in 77 games. A successful reclamation project won't happen over night... especially a pre-season night.

He still has to play well enough in the upcoming season to warrant another contract from Kenny... so he needs to be somewhat productive and show progress.

imo, williams has been one of the most impressive players so far.

he's not very physical or good defensively, but his offensive ability should be very useful. also very good in the shootout.

he'll be more of a defensive liability on the point of the PP than samuelsson, but he's also a more creative player. i would still prefer ericsson to get that spot, though. kronwall and williams on the same PP is too risky, imo.

I wasn't arguing Pittsburgh had superior depth. I'm just refuting the nonsense about how Crosby, Malkin, and Gonchar are the "only three Pens worth having".

But I suppose you're right about getting into arguments with fans on their own board. Still, I can't help but respond to posts like that.

I think Pittsburgh has good depth... very good, in fact. However, in the context of what the Wings need/how they play, I agree with the list mentioned above, with the addition of Orpik b/c I love how he plays in the playoffs.

I think you could say the same about the Wings. I am sure there are some players you wouldn't mind having from Detroit, but the rest of the depth players aren't particularly appealing to you.

Just my two cents.

I am so going to enjoy watching Crosby flop around on the ice when they play the Flyers and Pronger Oh boy, I can't wait to see the first time those teams play each other.

I can't wait to see Pronger actually get suspended. Will the NHL have the balls for the right suspension? I know they don't want Crosby injured.

Watching the final two games of the finals was like watching hockey in 2004 TBQH.
