Decision Day for HFNHL Detroit hopefuls

There have already been some sobering demotions to the AHL and Juniors for some of Detroit's hopefuls and there will likely be a couple more today as teams finalize their rosters. Here's a quick look at the handful still trying to secure a spot for opening night in the NHL.

Anaheim
Andrew Ebbett - While he could be considered 'penciled in' there's no guarantees
Logan MacMillan - Fighting with Erik Cristensen, Petteri Nokelainen, George Parros, and Mike Brown for the final two spots his odds are not high but having survived this long should give a boost of confidence and possibly a call-up later
Luca Sbisa and Steve Eminger - The Ducks still have 9 dmen in camp and neither is guaranteed a spot even with Sbisa who would have to go back to Junior

Buffalo:
Mike Weber - While almost all the forward and goalie cuts are done Buffalo still has 2 or 3 cuts to make, depending on if Lydman is recovered, on defense. Despite having had a strong camp there is an impressive group of dman that he's fighting with and he is one of only two that wouldn't have to clear waivers so he's likely to start in the AHL.

Detroit:
Daniel Larsson - While Howard, based more on tenure than anything IMO, has the inside track on the backup spot Larsson is giving him a fight with a good camp that included a shutout

Nashville
Mark Santorelli - Could it be he's actually going to get a shot at a top 6 spot? From the outside it appears to me it could come down to decisions between him and Hornqvist.

New York Islanders
Mark Flood - While is sounds like he's had a decent camp NYI have barely made any cuts (some 30+ still in camp) so it's wait and see

Philadelphia
Claude Giroux - Philly's opening night roster is pretty close to finalized at this point though it looks as if Giroux may be moving back to centre (3rd line) possibly to play with Van Riemsdyk
