He should get a lot of ice-time there and they should be a good team. I imagine he'll have a big year in the A this season.

Boynton and Brookbank need to pull their weight because Phil put in a hell of a camp.

Who's Phil?
I'm sorry, did I miss a humourous nickname?

Yeah Pronger dubbed him Phil last season. It seemed to stick whenever he was referred to in the press by other players but it's easier to type than Mikkelson.

Phil Mickelson, the Golfer. And i'm a little disappointed he got sent down. I don't give a rats ass about someone being paid 500k to play in the minors, it's not my money.

Be excited that the coaching staff saw enough in him to want him to play a ton of minutes every night, then. If he handles it well maybe they'll make room for him during the season.

Watching Eminger play every night will no doubt deliver a lot of "excitement". Not to mention hairloss & elevated blood pressure.

I believe it's temporary because he's hurt. Once he's healthy I believe he'll be sent to an AHL franchise.

MacMillan might amount to nothing after all of his injuries.

Reading between the lines, sounds like conditioning is an issue that they were trying to help him improve

Maybe so. But he did look good in camp and in the preseason game he played. If he makes it as a 3rd liner I'd be happy with that. He has had some bad luck that's for sure with all his injuries. And now with the Ducks not having it's own minor league team.

His injuries are starting to concern me though. Every bump in the road with him has involved an injury. If he can figure out how to stay healthy I think he'll make a fine NHL player.

Bodie was sent down Sunday. He's on San Antonio's roster now.

ECHL?

I hope it's just because they want him nearby so they can keep an eye on him. Like so a local doctor can check on injuries or something. And not because no other AHL team wanted him.

****, I'll go to a Reign-Condors game just to see Macmillan plays if he plays there (doubtful).

I think its mainly because of injuries (and I'll echo what Joe said, his list of injuries are starting to concern me, although not to any great deal yet). Sort of like a conditioning stint before an AHL team will pick him up. At least that's what I would imagine/hope...
