I can't believe the over reaction by some as if they know the dressing room better than the coaching staff and players. You can bet this will be a very well respected decision in that room. I have no doubt about that.
lol the quotes were a joke.

i actually like Henrik having an A.

yeah which is why it's stupid and pointless to argue with refs.

Leadership takes place in the dressing room and by the way a guy plays.

I'm not here to make good points.

Honestly, outside of his first year, I REALLY don't understand the people who consider Bieksa one of our best leaders.. and I like the guy. Other than being a great guy apparently, what leadership qualities does he really have on anyone else on the team? Again I don't mean to trash the guy, but he isn't one of our hardest workers, he isn't one of our most steady or reliable, he isn't one of our best players, he doesn't have much experience, the guys don't seem to look up to him any more than anybody else, and he isn't even a guy who you would necessarily expect to step up his game when the going gets tough. So honestly.... what is it that makes people immediately consider Bieksa for an A or a C? He's a likeable guy who hits and he fights?

Injury prone or not, IMO even Salo or Edler would make more sense as a C or A, and they aren't even on my shortlist. (and again, I don't mean to trash Bieksa, but for this issue, I just don't understand).

Henrik Sedin's the right choice, IMO.

A guy who takes a penalty as selfish and stupid as he did in game 5 doesn't deserve a letter on their jersey.

I like leaders who lead by example. Big fan of Henrik getting the A.

I don't think anybody has the knowledge to accurately assess if this is the right choice or not. We don't know how he is in the dressing room. But, since the people who know him best are making the decision, I am under the impression that this is indeed the right choice.

I would have liked to see Burrows though...

The biggest mystique with the Sedins, was that the opposition when trying to defend against them, never
knew which Sedin was which.

The only thing they knew was that Henrik is the passer, and Daniel was always the goal scorer.

But now since Henrik is wearing the A... the opposition defence knows to cover Daniel more, as he is more
likely to shoot rather than Henrik is.
So give both of them the A.

Hate to bring this up, but my guess is because he's a good ole' Canadian boy. Honestly. And I don't think anyone who is against Hank for the A is only because he is Swedish, but I think that's why some people love Bieksa so much. And I do too, just also don't think he's really letter material.

You know, other than looking at the back of their jerseys. #33 = passer, #22 = shooter". I doubt having a tiny A on the front will make a difference, regardless of whether or not you're being sarcastic (and I'm pretty sure you are).

I think it might be partly that and partly because he looked like potential future captain material during his first year... and because we were over-envious of teams with a tough-as-nails captain.

But honestly, on a team with Kesler (now that's he's improved into a top-quality forward), there's no need to consider Bieksa for a letter.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but one thing to keep in mind when considering Bieksa/Burrows as captains is the amount of time they spend in the penalty box. Not necessarily a knock on them as they don't take a lot of "bad" or "cheap" penalties, but you don't really want your guys sitting in the box when you're trying to get answers from a ref.

Interesting to note, by the end of their contracts, they should be the leading scorers in franchise history.

Willie Mitchell, Henrik Sedin, and Ryan Kesler all took pucks/sticks to the face last year and made nice plays after.
