Stubbs calls it ''a cut foot''. I won't even bother wondering what this even means for when he'll play again.

A cut is better than most other injuries. Some stitches and max 2 weeks and he should be ok. A fracture or an Achilles tendon/knee injury would be 10x worse.

I guess the "cut foot" news is good new...

We just can't afford to lose him.

I really, really hope he's ready soon to come back.

However, if he ends up missing some games, you guys will be very, very happy Gainey signed Spacek instead of Komisarek or Beauchemin. He's a mini-Markov in my mind.

Sounds better then it could have been. Guess we'll get more details later, might be a few games off.

This kind of thing is why it's good to have someone like Spacek on the team... even Mara has quarterbacked a power-play before. They seemed better equipped to deal with the lack of Markov than they were last year.

I know this is just pure badluck, but even if we're better equipped, we can't allow any other team to rough Markov up.

That's why I want Gainey to buy Pierre Gauthier a sniper, so he could shoot any player getting near to Markov after the whistle in the head.

I wish I had Photoshop installed

This.

Hamrlik will be back real soon and this is why we signed our Space(k)goat.

Obviously it doesn't improve our chances at winning, but I think we can do decently.

FWIW, I just saw on the NHL Network highlight package of the game and Markov definitely didn't seem bothered when it happened as the goal was scored. You can clearly see him look ''normal'' as the goal goes in.

Only a few seconds after did he seem to feel the effects of it.

Ya that sounds like a deep cut. Paper cuts are painful

They are talking about injury... does not seem good at all. I just hope that if Markov is injured the rest of our D stay's healthy.
