Awesome video. I'm extremely pumped up. Can't wait to see how our new players do for real. Too bad Avery's out though.

Anyway, note to the Rangers: See how the Giants crapped on the Cowboys' stadium opener? Do something similar to that. The Pens get props and deserved to win the Cup last year, but this is a new season and that means nothing now, and nothing could say that like a nice road division win to kick off the season.

LETS GO RANGERS!!!

You cant turnover 1/2 your roster and expect to start of clicking on all cylinders...especially when you open against the defending stanley cup champs.

but i do expect this to be a close one.
That's why you have training camp and preseason games.

Rangers haven't won at the Mellon Arena in their last 15 trips there. 0-13-2

Big test to start the season. Oh Baby! Lets Go Rangers!

1-0 Rangers, Wade Redden with the goal

Sidney Crosby hits the post 2x, gets frustrated, & takes a hooking penalty that leads to Reddens goal

The rangers beat the penguins 4-3 in OT on november 17th 2007
Have they played 15 times at mellon arena since then?

How can that be when Gilroy will garner 3 pts in his rangers debut?

I'm really excited to watch Gilroy play.

I was watching highlights of the Rangers Stanley Cup finals of '94, and couldn't help but notice how Leetch was a 4th forward on the ice, leading the rush many times, going in deep, creating opportunites, with Gravey always covering up for him.

I see Gilroy doing the same,... and just hope that someone backs up his play. Been awhile since we had such a dynamic blueliner and hope he gets the support he will need to further his confidence.

Pretty much a guaranteed loss.

The Pens in Mellon Arena don't lose to their opponents, and they especially don't when the refs are always on their side and they have a friggin' Stanley Cup Banner just before the game.

Pretty much an impossible 2 points, but hey, prove me wrong.

Your stats might have been wrong, but the meaning was still sort of right. We have pretty much murdered Rangers in Pittsburgh over the past two seasons.

Five regular season regulation wins and three wins in the playoffs (one OT). Then there's the mentioned Rangers OT win in 07/08.

So, Rangers record in Pittsburgh over those two seasons is 1-7-1.

Of course, its a new season and like on the stock market, past performance does not insure future gains. I suppose you have hope... despite the massive difference in class .

Ok, my mistake. I read into it wrong. Pitt is 13-0-2 at home vs the Rangers in the last 15 games played there. So, the Rangers must have won 2 in OT or SO.

Not the best quality, but it was the only one on youtube.

Does everyone else find the Pitts announcers to be monotone and boring?
