Actually I don't overdo the name calling on Crosby. Opposing fans call Ovy many names - some that don't even match his play. Pens fans seem obsessed w/#8s looks. Why, is he the first pro athlete that doesn't look like a model?

This coming from a fan base where their best player looks like a goofy hayseed from the sticks of Russia

#8 looks like one hell of a hockey player to me

Actually, he's implying with what he says; you infer from your interpretation of what he says.

Cool story Hansel. Give it a rest. Are you really obsessed that much over Ovie? We get it. He's good. Crosby will never score as many goals.

If Ovechkin scores 70, IŽll retire from the forums. Consider that a threat.

But Marleau will tie Ovy for the Richard at 164 goals, so....

On pace for 164 goals is nothing. Komisarek is on pace for 1230 PIM this season!

Go show me tape of anyone who scores like that....with power like that.....NO ONE...

While Sidney is about to be 130-150 pt player...Ovie playing 80 games with chemistry and talent can score 70.

I agree with you that Ovechkin never ceases to amaze me. In a game that seems to have as much to do with luck as it does with skill, to be able to CONSISTENTLY score goals like he does is amazing. The season ends...his goal scoring stops, it begins and he's on fire again.

The only thing that can stop Ovechkin from scoring is the offseason. Soon, he will conquer that too.

Last season, Ovechkin had 2 goals in the first 14 games. He had 54 goals in the final 68 games, a 65 goal pace.

He's certainly off to a good start.

Nah, good start on his way to 55.
70 is a bit stretch but he's on a mission this year with Crosby winning the cup. He'll hit 60 at least.

boy is the bickering between pens and caps fans not old already!!

He looked good, and barring injuy/random trips to Russia I believe 70 isn't impossible. I think somwhere around 55-60's is a lot more likely though. I think Kovalchuk will be a lot closer to him this year though with the additions the thrash have gotten. But we have 81 more games to find out.
