Lucky that we are player another team who is lacking a number 1 Defence. Miller is fantastic thought. We will need our top 6 forwards to step it up big time.

Gill with the hat trick. Whether it's 3 goals on our net, their net, or a combination of both.

This and the way the always defend Kaleta and say all he's doing is "legal"...

I hate Buffalo just as much as Boston and Toronto.
Thomas Vanek scores around 90% of his goals in front of the net.

I want to see this Laraque again.

I also want Stewart to become this kind of player for us. I was at the Dallas game last year where he mugged Ott and it completely changed the game around. We were getting dominated before he kicked Ott's ass and we ended up winning.

That's his job. I mean, I'm sure his stage fights weren't what Gainey had in mind when he singed him to a three year deal worth 4.5 million.

Yeah, I remember that. Gained a lot of respect for Stewart after that beat-down. Hope to see him get some more opportunities this year.

The trick will be to avoid the instigator penalty, if kaleta does his thing. Sic Stewie on him at some point, I suppose.

Damn - suddenly we've got a bunch of players who will scrap. Strange experience...

Hey, I'm not bashing BGL. If he were consistently healthy, I'll pick him to captain the team. I just don't see the point of putting Laraque out there tonight when you could go with Chipchura or Stewart.
Stewart is playing, and you don't often see a natural center play wing in the NHL.
Chippers turn will come as you can see with the injury bug hitting the Habs in 2009/2010 once again.

so hammer is in for sure?

I wonder how martin manages his minutes considering he has a ton of rust to shake off.

Laraque is there for Gaustad and Stewie for that puke Kaleta. It would be good for JM to rotate players in and out of the lineup depending how they play the game before. He probably expected more from D'Ago and didn't get it, so Stewart is in the lineup.

Also, this game is Tyler Myers first NHL game. I don't know how many of you watched the memorial cup last year, but he is a damn good young defenseman. Looking forward to watching him play tonight.

Gaustad would fight BGL? Lol. He's only had a dozen or so fights in his four year career, none of which were against a heavyweight with the exception of Brian McGrattan. McGrattan has a mere ten pounds on Gaustad while BGL has a reportedly 40 pounds on Gaustad. It's more likely that BGL will get into with Kaleta than Gaustad. But we'll see.

I don't think intimidation is going to be a big factor for the Habs.

The Sabres are agressive with the puck and very fast, but they're not a pure fore-checking team like Toronto, neither are they physical up front.

Our bottom 6 can't miss a chance to finish their checks. A lot of their players don't really like getting involved in physical play.

As far as our d-core is concerned, I expect a much better game from Gill and Mara. Both are going to have more time to take decisions with the puck. Buffalo is much more conservative than Toronto. We just have to make sure we don't make a lot of mistakes, and everything is going to be all right.

Hopefully AK46 wakes up, Pacioretty finds a way to be useful, Plekanec keeps on working like he did in the last game, and the "smurfs" line is as lethal as they were in the last game.

How do you guys think Miller's going to play tonight?
Who should we be careful of from Buffalo's team?

He'll definitely be monitored during the game. But my prediction is he'll see over 20+ minutes for sure.

I find our teams very similar in stature at this point, especially without Markov.

Great goalies.
Mediocre at best defense.
Tons of talent in the top 6.

We'll see who wants it more.

Miller's a great goalie, so I fully expect him to bring his A game tonight. The top line of Vanek/Roy/Connolly could definitely give us problems. Keeping Kaleta under control is definitely a concern as well.
