I dunno if I want Simmonds fighting someone that big (listed at 6'3 220lbs on the coyotes site, Simmonds is listed at 6'2 183lbs). I won't be complaining if he does though.
I've never heard of Bissonette, what type of player is he? Grinder? Goon?
I'd classify him as a prototypical enforcer who is serviceable as a 4th-line forward.
So, a few of us Yotes fan are in town for the game and a friendly wager for drinks after the game seems to be in order. We'll also be heading out shortly to begin tuning up for tonight in case anyone wishes to engage in some freindly pre-game batner. Tell us where, and we'll be there.
Obviously, we're looking for a big win tonight but just being here and having our 'Yotes for at least one more year makes this a damn special opener. Wish the Kings luck but everyone in the US has to realize a Yotes win tonight can go a long way toward making our Canadian detractors ****!
I am not going to the game but I highly recommend The Yardhouse at LA Live. Especially if you guys like the microbrews
The coyotes like to play physical and crash the opponents net. Our Kings better match up in the grit department and play very strong in our crease. The coyotes are probably looking to make a statement with everything that is taking place around them off the ice. Time to be assertive and TAKE the 2 points.
I didn't think that Bissonette was 220. I've always viewed him as a MW but a tough one. He definitely wasn't viewed as the Pens' HW since they have Godard.

Think that's why they were able to let him go. Didn't need two. Sure they'd have been fine if he cleared and went back to the AHL, but Yotes needed a HW. Vandermeer and Hollweg (still can't believe we signed that worthless POS to a 2-way deal) definitely couldn't answer that call.
Wow what an awesome GDT! Great Job! But hell yeah Hockey is back! My goodness it seemed like an enternity since the last time we saw hockey. Gonna be there tonight, and it's gonna be sweet!
Thats cuz Bryzgalov is 19-0, .86GAA, .975%, and 13 shut-outs against us in his career.
Yes, it's an exaggeration, but it sure is what it feels like.
Yes, but that's before the arrival of certain Mr Smyth. Smyth is going to create havoc for Bryz and therefore, I'll take the kings over Bryz and the yotes tonight.
Ready to Rock! This is first time in a long time I expect the kings to compete for a postseason birth, nothing like a trip to the post season, except maybe the race to get into the playoffs , should be fun watch!
This season is already crazy....Detroit loses twice to St. Louis. Colorado destroys both San Jose and Vancouver. I would not be too confident tonight.
Vancouver looked like crap today and from what I've read (No VS) Detroit's goaltenders both struggled against the Blues. No reason why we shouldn't be expecting a Kings win tonight.
