Tucker just scored for Colorado. Anderson will probably have a shutout. Luongo has allowed 7 goals in 6 periods so far this year. Last I checked his save percentage was dangerously close to being below .800 and he had a GAA just above 4. Those stats might be worse now.

3.92 .848. Picked him 1st overall in a flyers league here

So much for this week.

This is why I wanted Anderson. At least after 2 games. Imagine he and Emery as a tandem.

Sucks for now, but I'm sure he'll improve. I'd put another goalie in until he does though if I were you.

Colorado wins 3-0. The three stars:

1st- Anderson. 35 for 35. 8th career shutout.

2nd- Wolski. 1 goal and 1 assist.

3rd- Duchene. 3 scoring chances, 0 points. This kid's gonna be special. Calder candidate I think.

I always thought Anderson and Vokoun were two of the most underrated goalies in the league. Anderson is like Harding and Halak. Very good, but all of them were over-shadowed by their starters. Glad Anderson has a chance to start and show his stuff.

Datsyuk takes a very rare penalty for him (he takes like 10 penalties in a full season) and the Blues score another goal on the Power play. Detroit's PK is absolutely atrocious. Blues lead 5-3.

So far the start of the season has been weird. AVs taking out 2 very good teams and the Blues outplaying beating the Wings twice (its not over yet but still)

Yeah it has. Here are some teams that are 0-2 or may be 0-2 by the end of today:

Vancouver (is 0-2 and the team is playing atrocious)
Detroit (almost definitely 0-2)
Carolina/Boston (one of them will be 0-2 after today, they play each other)
San Jose (may be 0-2)

Teams that are 2-0:

St. Louis
Colorado

Yeah, weird start to the season.

As noted, I like the Blues better than the Blackhawks this season. Not shocked at all that the Blues are taking both game from Detroit. Detroit might be primed for a let down in April. The other teams in the division are coming.

I am not really surprised by the Blues. They had an amzing run at the end of last season and they got Johnson and Kariya back. The Wings on the other hand lost a lot of goalscoring and their PK and regular season goaltending is just as terrible as last year.

As for bad starts, they aren't that surprising. We also started 0-3-3 last season and worked out relatively well after that.

I'm note surprised by the Blues either. Most people severely underrate their players and how affected they were by injuries last year.

I'm not surprised at Detroit either. They've always been iffy in the regular season. I'm one of the few who thinks they're worse this year and that they won't get to the WCF and may not win the division.

Good for Conklin. He's had quite the career, even as a back-up.

He's now played in all Winter Classics, though likely won't this season since the Blues aren't involved (obviously), and won a regular season game in Europe.

Cool.

First NHL point for John Tavares on a 5-on-3 goal by Mark Streit.

Roloson is the goalie for the Islanders.

Damn. I benched Streit in favour of others for fear of his +/- for tonight.

Streit was among the top 5 or 6 defensemen in the league for my money last year. Maybe higher. He should be an automatic play each time.

I had good options, in a pool with many categories, so it's not the end of the world; they play later tonight.

Toskala got yanked in favour of the Monster.

Tavares misses the net and Crosby scores a beauty to win it.

The Pens' broadcasters said Crosby went under the crossbar for the winner. I guess a five hole goal is technically under the cross bar......

I was hoping to see a sick move from Tavares. That **** was weak sauce.
