gionta is money

price, im glad to see his head back on his shoulders

and man, i like the way we got our 2 goals, ..we got a bunch of injuries, but we work hard LATE in the agme and were STILL gelling a WHOLE HEAQP of new players, u can tell that, yeah, theres alot of work to be done, but u can also tell thats its just a new team trying to gel and MAN, 20 games downt he road, i expect some way better play from the team in general, weve got too many good players for that not to happen.

The Good:
Gionta = What a tip
Moen = So that's what ''crashing the net'' is
Price = He kept us in
Plekanec = He seems like the only one to do anything on that line
Hamrlik = Solid at the point and in his own end
Mara = Seemed real calm and he didn't make any mistakes

The Bad:
Latendresse = He needs to shoot more
Gorges = Maybe I'm being a bit rough on him but he seemed to always be falling down
Pacioretty
Cammalleri = He can't seem to be able to get his shot off

The Ugly:
Kostitsyn = I don't knwo what is wrong with him but he really needs to get his game together

He had 2 good shifts and all the others were just awful.

Better game for Lapierre too.

Not overly impressed by Spacek so far.
He looks like a guy who's coming back from an injury.

The powerplay was painful to watch but I'll give credit to the Sabres, they were excellent on the PK tonight, constantly applying pressure on the puck handler.
I thought he looked good, he doesn't do things wrong to stand out....your waiting for the points.

During the Leafs game, I posted that he was making me eat my crow.

On an other note, we'd really benefit from Weber.

PS, l'antichambre, man that I hate that clown Bergeron. His opinion is negative and biased.

AK46 and Pacioretty have to step up their game. They're looking awful.

Pacioretty would benefit from a year in Hamilton.

No one that supports the team is a Price hater, there are just some people that would rather see Halak if Price goes into a deep slump. There's a big difference. So far he's been playing amazing though, so no need

PRICE! Love his play so far. LOVE it. He has been a MONSTER (unlike TO's 'monster' letting in 3 in one period tonight!). He really just looks more fluid, confident, poised. I hope it keeps up, he's been fantastic. Sorry Halak, you may be sitting for a while!

Gomez and Gionta connecting for the winner was a thing of beauty. They weren't scoring but they REALLY have chemistry and it's easy to see. All game long they connect with one another over and over again.

I also really like Martin's 'duos' and keeping key pairs together and rotating the winger to fit the situation. So far it's working out well I think and he's utilizing it effectively.

The big boys Gill and Mara looked good tonight, their speed was never an issue because they played smart.

Also loved all the scrappy plays from our little guys tonight! I don't care if we lose the little scraps, I just love seeing people stick up for themselves and eachother when they happen.

Anyway, I'm ecstatic with the win tonight and stealing those two points. That was for you General Markov!

I knew Gionta would be good for us. The guy is a threat when he steps on the ice. Now if we can build a good second line to help the first line.

You're kidding right?! He was by far the best d-man on the ice for both teams. He was just awesome.

I know right. The results of their system is nothing alike. Getting outshot 2-1 margin with JM is better than with Carbo.

wow how lucky are we ?
price has stolen two games so far, great start.
defense was ok considering injuries, I never thought i would say this but... if o'byrne misses a few games we will miss him. i like that the big defensemen do not let close in shots by clearing the front of the net and this allows price to see the puck better.
offense was unproductive... just lucky. seems like stewart is falling out of favor. Guillaume does not belong on the pp. the smurf line needs more time to develop chemistry. ak46 needs to get his head screwed on right. pleks was ok.
I am just glad we played buffalo and toronto and not washington and pitt.

Buffalo fans crying about the Moen goal. Miller did not have it the entire time. It must just be built up frustration stemming from the fact they live in the ****hole Buffalo.

The main reason we have looked bad in the last 2 games is ????????? Duh...So many new guys getting used to each other, a new coach, a new everything, the timing is a little off, Price has stolen 2, much better toughness this year.. Love Moen, Love GIANTa, we will get better....Give Weber a shot PP guy, things will get better.

incase anybody was wondering, the official 3 stars had Price at number 1 and Gionta at number 2. More important I think Hamrlik was great. He stepped up huge. He made some very big defensive plays, and made some very well-timed pinches. He never scored obviously, but they created offence and didn't hurt the team in transition.

Few notes to make:

-Price looked good again and stole us 2 points. Is this kid going to get worn down with all the pressure in the defensive zone and shots he facing?

-Gionta comes up huge again with an amazing goal.

-AK was invisible tonight, he really needs to pick his play up so the second line can take some pressure off the first.

-Pleks looked great again, I think the guy has turned a page this year. He's proving last year was just a fluke. I like it.

-Is it just me or is Gomez a turn over machine? A number of times he was making horrible passes that were getting picked off by the buffalo fowards.

-More to come as I digest the game.
