Updates on O'Byrne and Metropolit's injuries

Obviously thrilled we pulled out the win, but also not wanting to neglect this possible downside.

Anybody heard anything yet on the severity/details of their injuries? Please post any and all info you hear as soon as you get it! Many of us, certainly I, would be very appreciative.

I'm praying we get off lucky here and it's not another blow so early into this positive season!

EDIT:

O'byrne is out for six weeks with an ankle injury according to him; Doctor will re-evaluate soon.

Metropolit has a rib injury and is day to day, potentially in the line up on Tuesday!

Hope they're fine, they've been showing good potential for the team. This will hurt us if its serious.

I hope O'Byrne is okay, he's finally looking very solid so it'd be tough for him to get hurt now.

Fresh from CKAC:

O'Byrne NOT making the trip to Calgary tonight. He was limping around after the game. So obviously a D has to be recalled.

O'Byrne can not catch a break, it's just ridiculous. His rookie year he was playing great and broke his thumb in a fight. No need to bring up last year and now this.

Metropolit WILL make the trip though. Martin McGuire speculated it was a rib injury. RDS.ca confirms it's a rib injury.

God damn injuries. I blame it on the cursed disaster theme avatars some of you are STILL using. Change them up already!

****. Thanks a bunch but ****.

Toughest break is O'byrne for sure. This looked like the start to a potentially great campaign. Hopefully it's not too bad and he only misses a few games out West...

I guess we'll definitely be getting a chance to look at Weber then on the Western road trip. Perhaps if O'byrne is not too serious and Weber steps in and surprises (especially potentially helpful on the PP?) it will end up a positive thing if it doesn't derail O'byrne... Just trying to find any silver lining.

Glad to hear Metro is making the trip. He's also looking good and it'd be a shame to lose him. Again, potential silver lining in presumably Chipchura getting a couple games to actually lace them up and show what he can do. I hope he steps in and owns it, proving that he is ready for the spot should Metro be gone next year.

O'Byrne should be out for a bit. Since Metro is making the trip, it can't be to serious
