Kings v Yotes: post game thought and tidbits

Lol @ the kings defense

I am posting from the game

I haven't seen that many turnovers by the kings that led directly or indirectly to goals since 1986 in a game against the oilers

brutal game to watch live

doughty looked like modry

Brown sucked

the forwards looked lost on defense. Glad he scored but Jesus...

Kopitar was amazing

how many goal posts did we hit?

The crowd as usual was zzzzz. Could not get a long and loud chant going

team was either not mentally prepared or overprepared and paralysis set in with the puck

it's only a game I know but one game is the difference sometimes between pkayoffs and not

Zambonis only needed to resurface the Kings end after each period.

Brown is just awful. brutally awful.

Good games from Kopitar, Smyth, Greene

I thought Martinez wasn't too bad other than being burned badly on the 2nd goal.

Purcell was invisible.

Frolov is Frolov.

Simmonds was ineffective, as was Handzus.

If you haven't noticed by now... I emote like a 13 year old girl I find it important when I am chatting to make sure people always know my tone, because I am often sarcastic and use light-hearted silliness in my posts that may be misinterpreted otherwise.

...Welp, now we can discuss the terrible start...

Bad game by on all fronts other than PP. It would take too long to say who was bad, and much easier to say who was good.

Smyth - Played strong, kept battling and getting the puck in front of the net. I liked what I saw.

Kopitar - Not overwhelming, but he did have his streaks of genius and he was out there commanding what little offense we had.

Handzus - Positionally solid, patient and looking to make things happen, he didn't get many bounces his way, but he was invisible in a game where everyone was being called out.

Frolov - Typical game, came up with a big goal, but had very little cons despite not commanding more offense.

It's just one game

Jim Fox put it perfectly - the Kings beat themselves, with so many god damn turnovers (every one of which seemed to go in). I'm not just asking Quick to play "ok" but I want him to play well enough that he looks like a good starter.

However, the mistakes are correctable, and again, it's just one game.

Still, the game was dissapointing.

I thought Jack Johnson quietly had a very solid game.

Lewis/Richardson got muscled off the puck way too easily.

Justin Williams was pretty insivible.

Those turnovers were atrocious. Even without the turnovers, the hockey wasn't good enough.

LOL @ the thought of Drewiske and/or Martinez trying to contain Thornton and Heatley on Tuesday.

Brutal... Kind of interesting that the only Kings player who didn't end up with a minus was Drewiske.

Well it's indicative that we beat the goalie and that we are doing something right
