Why do people always harp on the negatives? The Canadiens picked up a decent D who can make a good first pass, work the powerplay and has a booming shot. Also, Gainey didn't even need to trade assets. Pair him up with a good defensive D and I think we could all be surprised.

Because a lot of those first passes go the other way.
