Good idea.

Who wants to PM me if its safe or not after the game? I can't risk opening the GDT once the game starts.

what does safe mean? any other result that doesn't include an ass kicking by the opposing team? meaning it's okay to tell you it's safe if it's a 3-2 loss?

Safe means it is at least worth watching. So yeah, a 3-2 loss is safe.

The Phoenix game would not be safe. That would be a fast forward to see the Kings goals type of game.

So basically all I need is a "Watch it" or a ""

GO KINGS GO!!!!

For those going there: please start the "re-sign Fro!" chant

Also, I'd like some pictures of the castle doors if they are there

Jacob, it seems that every player you like ends up getting traded or un-signed, I.E - Nagy, O'Sully, Lubo & Stuart. . . I think Dean has something against you.

Kings lose, but put forth a better effort.

Let's say 4-3 San Jose.

And of course that 4th goal will be given up in the last minute of the game.

Avs fan living in SoCal here, slowly beginning to like the Kings....

I always thought Frolov was a top6 type forward. Why's he playing the 3rd line?

Also, what's up with all the "Sexy pick" avatars...are you all beautiful women? If so, I think I'll get down to Staples more often...

Frolov is on the "3rd line" for chemistry. That line generated much of the offense last season and still posts high minutes, so the title of 3rd line is a little misleading in its overall role for the team.

In regards to the sexy picks, it's nice to look at beautiful women real or imagined.

Terry Murray allocates more minutes to the 3rd line than he does to the 2nd line. Frolov is still very much a "top 6" forward by definition of skill, but its more of a match-up/depth decision on TM's part.

Cool, thanks for the info. I was the telecast from the first game and the announcer seemed to indicate that the Frolov line was more of a checking line, which didn't make sense to me. Your explanation is more sensible.

His line is matched up against the other teams top lines. That is why you are hearing the work "checking" related to his line. He still plays on the power play and is expected to produce offensively.

Problem is Handzus and Simmonds are not top 6. And from what I recall the Frolov/Handzus/Simmonds line did not play that many games together as Frolov played with Kopi or Stoll. I think the best stretch the Kings had was in late January and the first 3 lines looked like this.

Frolov/Kopitar/O'Sullivan
Calder/Stoll/Brown
Moller/Handzus/Simmonds

by "bogus," do you mean simply lame or pathetic? or do you mean a deliberate fabrication for the purpose of jest or tom-foolery? if the former, i agree that it's pathetic, but i guess that's partly why i think it's funny. if the latter, how do you know? and if you provide some kind of evidence to it being fake in the form of, say, a post from the video's subject saying "ha ha, you all think i'm a complete ass-clown but i was actually joking," then how do we know he was genuinely joking and not just desperately trying to rebuild his shattered internet persona after this crushingly embarrassing meltdown which has basically ruined his chances of procreating? i mean, if he does it for all sorts of things, maybe he's chronically pathetic.

his dad sure thought it genuine.

Little pregame story for y'all.

http://www.lakingsnews.com/2009/10/p...-san-jose.html

Quote:
If the Kings proved anything in their up and down season last year, it was that when they play with fire in the belly and the system on the brain, they have a chance to beat any team, and San Jose is no exception. This Kings fan doesn't really care who is on San Jose's roster, or what happened last Saturday evening in downtown L.A. This fan only cares that the leaders on the Kings step up their game and calm the nerves created by the highest expectations most of the Kings roster has ever experienced at the NHL level.

Those nerves, and their clearly overwhelmingly negative effect on the team, points directly, in my mind, to a lack of leadership. There is little excuse for a professional sports team to come out of the gate so timid and scared, and even less for it not to be rectified throughout the course of the game.

I predict an ugly one tonight. The usual suspects will come out in spades, call for the firing of Terry Murray, and blame global warming on Lombardi. Zad will drink himself into a coma.
