why send him down though? He`s a low maintenance player. He doesn`t need to play every game and I think JM like the toughness he brings.

He made some mistakes last night, he`s a young player. It happens. JM will continue to work with him (and Chipchura) throughout the year and he`ll improve.

He's pretty cheap as a spare forward, it doesn't matter if he's barely serviceable since he doesn't need to play many games.

He's supposed to be in Hamilton for a conditioning stint.

He has refused to report and requested a trade

Just kidding, I expect he'll probably play in the Bulldogs first game on Friday. I think we'll probably see him with the Canadiens for the first time for the home opener next week.

i dont mind stewart he's a freaking 4th liner but maxpac need to sit NOW! he's horrible... he's doing zero in the offensive zone!!!

Give dagostini a chance with offensive players like plek/kostitsyn

cammaleri-gomez-gionta
kostitsyn-plekanec-dagostini
latendresse-lapierre-moen
stewart-chip/metropolit??-laraque

What is with this schedule?? I can't believe no one in Canadiens org complained.

Fly out west to play Calgary, then play Vancouver next night?? While Vancouver didn't even have to play last night they get to sit at home and prepare for a jet lagged team that probably didn't get into their hotel in Vancouver until 4am eastern time? All this for no reason too since the game coulda just been done thursday instead. Completely bogus & unneccessary ambush setup here for Montreal.

That stuff all evens out in the end...Vancouver has a way harsher travel schedule than montreal anyway if you look at the total season, Montreal has all these trips to Boston, Buffalo, Toronto, NY that are like 1-2 hour flights tops.

I see a trend:

1st game: 1 goal in regulation
2nd game: 2 goals in regulation
3rd game: 3 goals in regulation

so..

4th game: 4 goals in regulation

So we're facing french Canadian goaltender from Montreal who is struggling big time in last 3 games.

Perfect scenario for a shutout.

3-0 Canucks.

Let's just hope Pleks can continue to play the way he did in Calgary...a second line that could contribute would be huge.

Latendresse - Lapierre - Moen
Pacioretty - Chipchura - Laraque

PS. When is MAB supposed to join the club?
That's the lineup I project too.

Can't wait for the game. Hoping Price can hold down the fort tonight. I also hope Kostitsyn has another good game, and that D'Agostini gets a chance on the second line with him and Plekanec, as previously mentioned.

Same here, Rypien will literally rip him apart.

The problem is that the gash Stewart received yesterday, is another one... So, now he has 2 gashs...

New Kostopoulos?

This is friking amazing

'Nucks: they are thirsty of a win bad after 0-3.
Habs: they played well the night before but unluckily lost by one goal, frustrated and would want to get the win back tonight to feel satisfied.

Tonight, Luongo wants to bounce back and to perform like God.
Tonight, Price will want to show his family he is Jesus.

This has nothing to do with western teams travelling more, the jet lag/time zone factor in this situation is just added icing on cake.

When it could be avoided there's absolutely no reason to be throwing teams into back to back games, especially on road, and especially against teams that had night before off to rest at home. It's just creating crappy situations for players and fans because it's unfair for one team and is going to make for a dull hockey game, and I'm not being a homer here, I'd say this for any team and wouldn't even enjoy watching Montreal pummel an opponent put into the situation.

The only 2 day back to back games should be home & home series so both teams are equally dealing with the same scheduling issues.

The only thing that could crush your perfect scenario, is that Price will play for the first time in front of his familly and friends!

The question is, does that negate the French Canadian goalies vs the Habs 'curse'?

Finally it will be the CH for once who are turning the tables on another team by bringing a goalie to his hometown, after years of enduring the likes of Dany Sabourin and Marc Denis posting shutouts in Montreal.
