For a comparison... last Saturday night, we left downtown LA on a Greyhound bus at 11:30 PM. It stopped in North Hollywood for 5 minutes, Coalinga for 30 minutes, Oakland for 5 minutes, and arrived in downtown SF at 6:30 AM.

So figure that Anaheim to LA is about the same travel time as SF to SJ (late at night) so 6:30 (or earlier) sounds about right.

Map software says: 570 miles, and 5 hours, 23 minutes MAP

if anyone has a contact with sharks PR we should inform them of this shark bus extravaganza. Maybe we could get some free stuff or Sharkie to come with hahaha

I talked to my Sharks account manager about Sharkie, and he said, Imagine how hot it would be in a Shark costume for the length of a bus trip, he's sweating enough after the game!

I'd love to pick up some removable Sharks logos (or something) that we could stick on the sides of the bus, or windows

Hello,
First time posting, but a long time reader. I'm very interested in this bus trip. Count me in. I'm looking forward to invading an enemy territory.

I'll be down in San Diego and would love to make the trip up. Which 400 section would the seats be in?

They're telling me that if I lock soon, then it'll 439 - 441 (Sharks Zone).

Just another option in case we have too many to get tickets all near each other.
I'm a local too, would love to participate in Operation Pond Invasion. Count me in! How many locals are there....maybe we should start keeping count to separate bus/nonbus fans?

Are you running out of spots on the bus? My mom and I are interested, but she's not sure if she wants to stay cooped up in a bus for 8 hours one way lol.

When you get a final count and the deposit is made I can get this to the PR Dept. At least they will know and can do something if they want.

Still space available! The trip will be about 6 hours each way, so not as bad

Sorry to bug you with all these questions, but where's the bus leaving from exactly? Will it be relatively close to the Tank? We're not SJ locals and have only been through the areas of downtown SJ that are close to the arena lol.

This still hasn't been determined, but I'm shooting for departing from the parking lot of the Tank.

That would be awesome if we departed from there. Anyway, count us in for 2. My cousins live down there and might be interested in going to the game. They should respond by the end of the day.

Sounds like a great idea, I might be into this. Is there any chance the bus can start in SF and then on to San Jose. I'm not sure how many people here live in sf but it would probably add a lot more people.

I'm 90% sure I'm in for at least two for the whole bus ride and tickets. Just need to check some things.

How're you keeping track of how many have signed up? Seems pretty laborious to go through the whole thread and note down individually. Perhaps a poll with options for the number of people each poster is bringing?

Tonight I'm going to scrub the thread and then i'm going to implement a contact link and webpage The problem with a poll is that I have no idea who i need to contact, right?

CalTrain would be a great way to get to the Tank, I've done it many times. I live 35 miles north of SF, so I understand your concern.

However, I'll check with the bus company and see if we can start in SF (or near a BART Station) and pick up in SJ. Good idea!
