Halak was average. He neither won nor lost the Calgary game.

So we have four games... two all-star performances, two average performances... and your starter has stolen two-thirds of the games he's played.

Yep, our goalies suck.
who said the goalies suck ? don't put words in my mouth. and yes, price played well in those 2 first games. no doubt about that. What I'm saying though is that 2 of those games, they haven't done the job. Halak and Price. Which proves my statement about the goalies : "the goalies aren't playing great".

I wonder what goes through Gainey's mind when Gill ****s up (which seems to be often)...

"Great contract that one, never costs us a goal ever. Nope. Oh and did I mention how cheap I got him for?"

Do not like.

He stepped up and actually tried to do something ?

How does Cammalleri and Gionta deserve an 'A' ?

Do I need to teach most of you what to expect from Hal Gill ? Cause none of you seem to know, but yet call yourselves "educated" on the subject...

A strong and mobile NHL D core faced a AHL one tonight, plain and simple.. Gill was quite disgusting, couldnt stickhandle that freaking puck, slow as hell, brutal brutal.. Weber played like a headless chicken, Spacek is a big desapointment to me so far.. Mara is Mara, a 6th defenseman, Gorges has a big heart and as been one of our best D so far this season but tonight he was exposed big time, hasnt a big frame so it was possibly too much hockey for him..

Its understandable that some vets were tired and all but seeing A.Kost Dagostini floating and not giving a legitimate effort was so frustrating to me.. MaxPac is just not ready, its time to send him in the minors and take it more easy, this kid is still not used to the busy schedules..

It was really a shame to watch, Im so desapointed for Carey, the kid doesnt deserve to play for a so crappy team, in front of his familly and friends.. Some people of hockey Canada were there to attend the game too..

No excuse for this. I can accept a loss, but not a 7-1 drubbing this early in the season. There's just no excuse for this.

What planet does your starting goalie single-handedly winning two of three games he's played not count as playing well?

Seriously, I can only imagine that if Price went 82-0 you'd be complaining he didn't have enough shutouts or something.

He's there to intimidate with his size, clear the net for Price and lead in the lockeroom.

He finished with -2, he lost a fight to a guy that stand 8 inches SHORTER then him, and all the supposed "leadership" he brings to the lockeroom amounted to nothing when the team gives up 7 GOALS and lets down their goaltender.

if by "tried to do something" is make an outlet pass but failed miserably repeatedly by coughing it up to the opponent standing right in front of him... then yes: i agree.

Camm and Gionta have put up a few points this year. Camm won us the game in Toronto on the winner and Gionta did the same in Buffalo.

What's Gill done good. Saying he "tries" is saying that you have nothing concrete to present as evidence. If I was on D I'd b trying too. But I'd also suck.

You do realize letters on jerseys are not always about who has the most talent on the ice right?

Nope, not saying that. Line juggling was a problem.

At one point, Malkin was on a line with Kennedy and Rupp. That's a problem when you're trying to get your team going.

He didn't lose the fricking fight! How can one have fair debate versus a liar?

Make a poll right now asking who won that fight.

If you honestly think Gill, who landed 1-2 punches at most and took dozens of kidney shots and upper cuts, WON that fight, then prepare for more face palms and ridicule.

Fine. Maybe the appropriate words should have been "have not been very consistents" instead of "not playing great so far".
