To start camp he was on a PTO with the Thrashers.

Danny was one of my favorite Jackets back in the day and I still have a soft spot for em. I hope he tears it up in Syracuse.

I happy for him... looks like a career in the AHL. That's better than flipping burgers or going to the office cube every day for 50 grand. Good for him!

Good to see the Crunch give him an opportunity. Anyone know the length of the term?

For everyone talking about call-ups and playing on the fourth line. This is only a minor league contract. He cannot be called up by the Jackets. I don't see any reason to fret or any reason to be really excited unless there's some kind of sentimental reason. Perhaps he can develop a little in Syracuse and eventually be sighned to a two-way. I wouldn't mind seeing it. He needs improvement, but I think he has potential to make it back into the NHL.

One year. And the Jackets say he's free to sign with any other NHL team (according to today's Dispatch).

Danny is one of my personal favorites..

I always believed given more opportunity the guy could do better. That was Danny's opinion too, and rather than do better I think he got stale with us the 1st time around.

I saw him play for the Sarnia Sting, and know folks up there that love the kid.. I hope he can live up to his early projections (pre shoulder surgeries) he would be a great player to add to the team.. has a little bit of Umberger in him.

Kick some ass down w/ the Crunch Danny..
