Shirokov has also looked horrible, proving for the millionth time that preseason is meaningless on an individual basis.

With Luongo playing poor right now it's going to be bad for the Stars on Sunday. I'm expecting a great game for Luongo.

Was thinking the same exact thing.

Vancouver 0-3-0 to start the season for the first time in 8 years.

Bruins just signed Lucic to a 3 year extension worth $12.25 million. Just makes that Eriksson signing look better and better.

I'm watching the Sharks game and there was just a local PSA (starring Hilary Duff) whose sole purpose was to tell people not to use the word "gay" in a derogatory fashion. You can't make this stuff up.

LA was up 4-0. SJ scores 4 straight powerplay goals to tie it 4-4.

Purcell comes right back and scores from behind the goal line. 5-4 Kings.

Greiss is completely unprepared to be an NHL goaltender. San Jose didn't learn anything from watching the Stephan experiment.

Carey Price giving up 7 goals on 32 shots...ouch glad I don't have him in my fantasy team!

Well he got the Canucks' pent-up rage game out of the way for us at least.

I know it's only been 2 games and about 5 minutes of their 3rd...but Detroit has done nothing to impress me early.

Maybe their cup hangover had a really slow onset.

I agree, however, 1 line will not win the Stanley Cup there has to be secondary scoring which I am not convinced SJ has any of, they will be right back to where they have been every other year losing in the 1st or if they are lucky the 2nd round of playoffs.

Heatley pulled a Richards type debut in the home opener for the Sharks.

Hopefully he starts to play exactly how Richards and his team started to play after that game.

There is a thread about it on the main board but I thought it was so funny it deserved a mention here...Penguins accuse Hartnell of biting Letang in last night's game.

Quote:
“I think he knows what he did,” Letang said with his hand bandaged after the game. “It was in a scrum. “[The officials] really didn’t have a chance to see what happened. It was a wrestling kind of thing. They couldn’t see any details.”

"A lot of stuff happens on the bottom of the pile,” Hartnell said. “He had his hands in my face doing the face wash and we're rolling around. I can’t say what happened.”
What is Hartnell like 4 years old?

I don't blame him if he did. Don't get why every hockey player has to put their hands in other players' faces.
