OilGagner89 partially stepped down from his responsibilities, so I'm the new sheriff in town. Yeah, you're ****ed, punks.
We're trying to get this running because lots of us put efforts into this back in April or whatever. Hope we can get new GMs to join, there hasn't really been any team that's been scorched to the ground and the current confirmed GMs are pretty active. If teams aren't picked up, we will reduce the team numbers and make an dispersion draft/free agency according to the standings at the end, so if your man enough to endure even the worst of the teams for this whole season, you can probably cash in and do a quick rebuild at season's end.
Rules
- Waiting list (for people who join late, would slip into the role of the previously fired GM,many spots currently available)
- Salary Cap - 56.8
- -2.5 fan pts penalty EVERY DAY for teams that are over the cap (I will handle teams without GM to give you guys a chance if you need salary dump, but don't expect great return from me...)
- To make my managing easier, the rosters will only be updated once every week, on Fridays (at whatever time it is convenient to me), so if you need to make any changes, get them in before that day. Just a PM will do, on here or the league's site. I decided to give a little wiggle room for the first 2 weeks at least, so if you forget to send me your roster on time, you can still do it for now. I will also allow "emergence" tweaks due to injuries.
Waiting List
If you have dropped by the thread too late and still are interested in this league, write me a PM I will put you on the waiting list in the main thread. The waiting list will be used for filling in for the fired GM's, or GM's that may quit.
Firing
You can be fired by many ways:
1) If you're going to quit on us, consider yourself fired.
2) If you do bad trades (ie: repetitive veto offender or accepting a stupid trade from fedro91 within the first month of your joining), complain senselessly, I don't like your virtual face, you slept with my mom without being my father (need certified DNA records), you kill any of my imaginary friends except for Dominic, who's a pretty bad imaginary friend coz he's real, or you post pictures of me naked causing eye damage to HF users across the boards.

OK for prospective new GMs, here is the breakdown I had made of the available teams earlier:
BOS: available (moderate challenge)
DET: available (not much outside their top line and goalie)
NJD: available (decent lineup, just lacks depth, so injuries could hurt bad)
SJS: available (weak on D, no depth whatsoever, ok otherwise)
WAS: available (G and D is weak, but F are pretty good)

Damn, I don't have much time now to sort this out, I'm having a 2hrs sleep-a-day type of week, but I'll figure things out over the weekend. Tomorrow will be considered the last day of the 1st week match up. Saturday will be considered the first day of the week 2 schedule that has yet to be established.

Is it a keeper league? Never been in one but i think i understand the basic concept that we have a draft at the end of the year for the new players coming into the league?

In our case, we might just shrink the league and so, make those players of former teams available by draft or free agency. We will see once we get there, but I would favor a 1 round draft and then maybe free agency, a mix of both if you will...
Did Nashville finally admit the inevitable and fold in this league? Shoulda moved em to Hamilton, I figure.

How's the scoring working is it H-2-H, if so, where is the schedule?
I think it was meant to be straight up points, but we could vote on this to see what the majority feels more fun.
I'll give it 3 days to vote on this. I personally think H2H creates more discussion and interest, but straight points would make it different from most of the other leagues on here. So let me know what you guys think.

I'd like H2H, but that might be too much work...whatever works for you commish
If there are still openings I will take whatever team you have available - pick one out of a hat so that I don't feel dirty for selecting the more stacked team. I am pretty confident in my savvy to turn a last place team into a second to last place team!
