He's the biggest badass when he's standing behind a linesman or Parros.

He "falls down" a lot conveniently, and then looks to the ref for a penalty. A lot.

And he's right up there with Kennedy for ugly...

That's exatly what I expect for tonight. Claude Giroux is one of the least players who deserves an headshot (actually no one deserves an headshot, but you know what I mean).

It's time for waste disposal.

I like how Shawn Michaels notes the 'rabbit punches' right before Perry is put on the ice.

If Carcillo takes him on, he'll gain a couple of respect points in my books, depending on the game situation and score. Perry and Richards have had a couple of bouts in the past as well. I don't really care who nails him, as long as he is.

I thought that was Brent Severyn doing the commentary? You sure?

Here's to a good game tonight, hopefully you guys won't be too upset with the buttkicking you're about to receive

"It always is," Pronger said yesterday after practice. "I had 3 excellent years there. I had a lot of good friends on that team, people that I will probably keep in touch with for the rest of my life.

"We won a Cup together. There is always a soft spot for that in the back of your mind."

"I have a lot of good friends on that team," Pronger said. "But at the end of the day, it's a game. I want to go out there and get the two points for the Flyers."

I hope we can exploit Sbisa, Whitney, Eminger and Boynton

I guess no one is suspended even after our "no class" game

A few days ago, someone here asked if the Flyers are doing a team-bonding session this season. Here it is, from the Philadelphia Daily News:
Quote:
The Flyers leave for Florida on Monday, beginning a weeklong team bonding trip that will include a fishing tournament and a regatta-style sailing race in the Atlantic before Friday night's game against the Panthers.

More quotes from Pronger (source: Orange County Register)
Quote:

On the trade and whether he’d know it would happen?

I knew there were a handful of teams that were talking to Bob [Murray]. Bob was excellent with me and my agent [Pat Morris] in kind of keeping us in the loop, telling us kind of how things were progressing.

The writing was pretty much on the wall. I had a pretty good straightforward talk with Bob about a week and a half prior to the draft. I gauged from that conversation that things weren’t going to be moving forward with the Ducks and I was most likely going to be traded. I started preparing myself after the season for what ultimately was going to happen. Fortunate enough that I was able to land in a good position with a good young team that’s got a lot of upside.

On whether the Ducks offered a contract extension?

There was nothing ever offered. Things never really got down to that. They obviously have their own issues that they’re trying to deal with and their own direction. They felt like this is the way for them to continue rebuilding and building for the future.

Ahhh, i am gettin old . How did I miss it? It dates back to the time when Captain Clutch played for the Kitchener Rangers or?

Karma is a ***** and Corey Perry may get tonight what he deserves.

I was well aware it was Brent Severyn, he just sounds like Shawn Michaels.

Let's come out and not make all of the stupid, unnecessary mistakes we made last game. Just tie up the loose ends. Emery, please make some saves and play fundamental goaltending, thanks.

Lets keep the GA under 5, and cut down those bad break aways to 0, we need a defensive bounce back game

Danny Syvret's name can also be heard on that video, though he was a teammate of Perry then.

Lets flip what happened on Thursday please.

If the D play like they did on Thursday, Getzlaf and Ryan are going to have a field day.

It's really too bad that their first fight that season wasn't saved. This one, Perry got in a shot or two... the first one, not so much. Richards sorta ragdolled him, and it was a beautiful thing.
