Begin Plekanec Ward... This fourth line could provide us some offense, would be very energic, could be used with regularity and be very reliable defensively...

Pleks could be promuted on the second line at some point in the season if ever Ribeiro does'nt perform at the expectation.
I like that line too. Problem is the need for a fighter. We tend to leave that out and I wish we could. I' d prefer if this wasn't a necessity but at the moment it is. Ward or Begin could play on other lines if their role was specific leaving a spot for a designated fighter. I'd like to see Ward get some time with Ryder and Ribeiro, but I don't know that he could contribute enough offense. I wish he could because he's a guy I like and really wish good things for, but it might be more than can be expected of him.

Alright, it's two birds with one stone time.

Problem 1: No fighter in the lineup.

Problem 2: We've got too many centers who want to play on the second line.

Solution: Ribiero is our new enforcer. Then, when he goes down to injury in the first game, we move pleks up to the second line, and a goon into the lineup on the fourth.

There's a legendary game where Henri Richard was reported to have gone with 3 Bruins during a game, Flaman,Leo labine and I can't remember the 3rd. Maybe Ribs can start that way. Henri was pretty well respected.

How old are Flaman and Labine now? I'm not completely convinced that Ribeiro could take them, but I guess those are pretty good picks to start him against. If he handles those guys, then I guess he might be able to start looking for some opponents outside of a nursing home next.

The Pocket Rocket could still kick the crap out of Ribs today, even at his age.

Ward is an enigma to me.. Everyone will agree he has limited overall skills but it surely did'nt affected his offensive production at the AHL level 2 years ago neither when called up by the Habs where he was the guy who was generating some offense on the fourth line playing with Perreault and Dwyer if im not wrong... His passes were crisp, was quicker as well as his stickhandling with confidence..

From the only game I saw this season, Ward desapointed me alot, was at the same point he was last year... Hope he can find his confidence back.
