Bang on!

Jordan Staal would be perfect.

Even as a Ranger fan I can say that Streit is undoubtedly a better player.

Nope.

1: he isn't top line material
2: We don't need a center unless someone takes Horcoff's contract away.
3: We need help on the LW more than on the RW.
4: Staal will never ever score 70 points in his career. Lubo will go on to score 50 a few more times. Don't tell me they're worth just as much.

Streit gets too many of points points on the man advantage, sucks on the PK, and makes too many mistakes playing 5 on 5.

Well why not trade for him then?

Start with ur Staal, throw in a 1st rounder and see what happens.

If it were for Lubo, we'd laugh at you and hang up.

Visnovsky is a better player than Streit hands down. You don't watch hockey if you think otherwise.

Visnovsky has been in the west too long, he's one of the league's best kept secrets. People in the east haven't seen him play enough to realize what kind of talent this guy is. The guy is exceptional with the puck, he's fast, and he has a big shot.

Looks like you're part of a very small minority. Seems like perhaps your hockey knowledge isn't what you think it is.

Well, there it is. 50+ people voting in a poll is as good a reference point as I've ever seen when settling a debate. Streit for president.

We've got enough puck movers. We need a sniper.

Has anyone else noticed that the general opinion of Visnovsky on HF has taken a complete nosedive ever since he became an Oiler? Pretty pathetic, actually. The guy was considered an underrated, top 10-15 defenseman when he was still in LA.

After a bit of a slow start, he also played extremely well in Edmonton last year. At the time of his injury, he was playing great hockey.

It's an HF rule. As soon as a player becomes an Oiler, they suddenly become worse.

Well if an Hfboards poll suggests it, it must be true

Staal may not be top Line material yet but he would be Oilers Second best Centre.I don't see how anyone can say that a 21 who has already had a 29 goal season and a 49 point season will never score 70 points.

Absolutely not, Visnovsky is definitely better defensively, while Streit probably has the edge offensively as of right now.

It's pretty close, but Visnovsky's defense wins it.

LMFAO.

The Rangers couldn't, and wouldn't even think about trading Staal for Visnovsky. You want Staal? The only way he'd be leaving is as part of a package for a guy like Phaneuf or Weber.

Realistically, if I'm the Rangers, because of cap concerns... I'd offer

Rozsival/Redden (pick one), Sanguinetti/McDonagh (pick one), and a 1st.

Rozsival or Redden would have to be included in the deal, otherwise the Rangers couldn't do it capwise.

Visnovsky would be a nice addition for the Capitals, who badly need some top-four help. I don't see any reason for the Oilers to deal him, though.

Ovechkin, Semin, or Backstrom would be enough reason for me I wouldnt mind Jurcina or Morrisonn+ though

I'd edit or delete that proposal before Oilers fans see it and come at you.
