No word on where Avery's playing yet, so I listed him as a HS for now.

Will update the GDT later.

Avery's almost definitely playing in this game, per Zipay and Gross.

Vally also in net for the Rangers.

would prefer to see hank in vs the ducks and vally start against the leafs

but either way the rangers need to come out and get a quick start against a not so rested team

LGR!

During my 49ers game. Very unfortunate... won't catch too much of this. Hopefully if the outcome is good I can watch Rangers in 60 or something.

Hopefully the Flyers did a good job of wearing them out.

Vally today is the right call. Toronto is in the conference. Who knows if they'll end up challenging us for the 8th playoff spot or something (despite the odds being against them).

Pumped to see Avery make his debut!

Absolutely disagree -- Ducks are in the West, the Toronto game is a way bigger game -- the non-conference games are absolutely more important than the intra-conference games.

Well, the good news is that the schedule works out nicely. Giants at 1, then a break for about an hour, Rangers at 5 and then Yankees at 7. Since the Yankees game will be at least 3 hours, I'll mostly watch the Rangers until the game ends - probably about 7:30-ish. Hopefully by then the Yankees have knocked Pavano out of the game.

Great sports day, hopefully the Rangers continue the winning streak. Get em, boys!

The line combos and defensive pairings you have listed in the beginning are subject to change shift by shift with Randy Carlyle. But for the most part they are correct. There are some players that may be sitting out against New York for some extremely stupid timing on penalties against the Flyers.

The Ducks are going to have a lot to prove to their coach tomorrow so this should be a high energy/up-tempo game. Nobody but Hiller and Selanne put much effort into the game tonight against Philly. Almost a guarantee that Giguere will be in net as Hiller is horrid in back to backs.

Regardless, no real beef with the Rangers so just wanted to pop in and say good luck tomorrow/today (depending on what time zone you are in) and with the rest of the season.

I agree, when you see the entire Duck lineup it does look pretty solid. Comparing the two lineups side by side I'd give the edge to the Ducks. But with their having played last night then "travelling" to NYC we should be fresher. Let's see if the Torturella conditioning gives us an advantage. Vally has to play some time, may as well be against a team outside the conference.

Last night Philly handled them easily, missed a ton of scoring opportunities to salt the game away, but the Ducks hung around until Selanne took over the game. Emery was playing out of his mind in the first period. I wish we had Arty on our team. He's a big boy with really decent skills, and wheels, when he gets a head of steam.
