It's because none of the fans look at the little things he does and just expect him to score at least a point per game. It's all about points.

frankly, i wouldn't care if he scored 3 goals a year. there are two Dustin Browns... one is a pretty good player, and the other, well isn't.

To make this a little more fair... I would say one is an above average player and one is average. Its rare that Brown is below average, he just isn't consistently above average.

I disagree, he can be really quite bad

I was really happy with the play of Doughty and Johnson.

And re-sign Frolov dammit!

That is all.

Yes they can!!!!
What a great game, Quick played amazing, some great saves. Handzus had a wonderful block on the first PK.

Frolov played very strong as well. Also along the boards, Terry Murray and Dean Lombardi must like that: Re-sign Alexander Frolov!!!!

Please

Great win for the Kings!
It was a pretty intense ending, but Quick stood strong.

The Kings are capable of playing much better than they have so far this season. And they're 3-1-0. That's a good sign.

Wasn't he the one that drew the penalty for the Smyth goal?

That showed up on the NHL on the Fly highlights for the game last night. GOLD. "Oh, you want that puck I fanned on do you?... no, no you don't."

I thought Brown played a great game against the Blues. Used his speed and moxie to get a couple of great scoring chances (Mason stoned him on the breakaway to his credit) and played extremely physical. The puck will go in eventually.

Potential signature material right there.

Alright, I am back, got drug out of my house last night by a friend and didn't get to do the PGT with you guys but I made her wait till the final buzzer though, she is from St. Louis and obviously a St. Louis fan so it was for the best. Didn't get back home till 2 a.m.

Anyway, I thought the Kings played well. Obviously there was a lot of breath holding but they got their 2 points so who can argue? Johnson is starting to look very good, Doughty was looking better till he got a one-way ticket to the dentist, Kopitar looked solid, Smyth is a god, Purcell is starting to look much stronger around the puck, Brown took a good step up back into the physical department, and Zues is Smyth's neighbor up in the clouds. Now let's go out there and sink some Islanders!

For your game recap I will leave it to this... guy:

Anyone know him? I wonder if he posts here Identify yourself!

It's Sunday morning and there are already 2 new blog posts from Hammond on the game story from last night and Jack Johnson. Add to that a new blog article at Frozen Royalty, another article at lakingsnews.com and an article on the road trip from a Kings trainer at socaljoecal.com.

I enjoy reading my virtual newspaper with the morning cup of coffee so I'm in heaven today.
