Powerplay Lines

The Todd seems to really like using the regular lines as his PP lines.
I remember last season he had Clowe on the first line (because he was awesome back then), but getting to the midseason, he just started using his regular lines.

Do you agree with his strategy or would you like to see some shuffling?

I would personally prefer:

Clowe - Thornton - Heatley
Boyle - Demers

Clowe in front; Thornton feeds Heatley. (same as today)
The line is slow, so we got two quick Dman to chip in

Marleau - Pavelski - Setoguchi
Blake - Huskins/Vlasic

Marleau in front; Pavs feeds Seto.
---

What do you guys think?

I'd like to see Marleau on the top PP unit with Heater and Joe. Lil Joe can run the 2nd unit with Clowe and Seto.

Undecided for now, but Clowe doesn't stand in front. Don't be silly, Davidwassup.

if clowe was clowe of old, where he was basically a power forward and willing to get dirty it might be a good idea for him on the 1st pp unit. but lately clowe has been a very very poor mans thornton. (1 who doesn't have the passing skill, and or goal scoring skill like thornton) to play the half boards.

as much as thornton gets bashed for playing the half boards, he has the skill for passing the puck and shooting the puck to be able to play that type of game. sadly clowe just doesn't have enough skill to play that type of game.

Make marleau do double duty and use him as a Dman/forward on PP for both lines.

No. I like the heater-jumbo-gooooch top pp line. Heater sits in the slot and 2 d usually keep close too him. Meanwhile, gooooch sneaks around like a sexy ninja waiting to get that one-timer off and heater is a decent enough playmaker to see sexy ninja sneaking around. I think it works fina as keeping the same lines in on the pp too

in an important situation in the hockey game TM should consider Patty to work the point with the top unit.

instead of Boyle and Demers or Boyle and Vlasic.

Heater, Jumbo, Seto
Patty, Boyle

patty's gotta get time with those guys, so yeah, do it on the PP. he's stuck with on the right clowe and a revolving door to his left.

though i do like demers and boyle on the point as well.
