Not to worry. We're playing at home now, the refs like us here.

Yeah, true, but when they did get a pp, Weber didn't really get much of a chance.

EDIT: I can edit posts now. Time to be a good little boy again.

Call up PK and let him play on the wing! With all the injuries in the D, theres nothing wrong to have 7 defenseman in the line up.

A would also like to see Tom Pyatt come up. he plays an aggressive fore-checking style of game that we need on the bottom 2 lines. D'agostini and Pacioretty can't play on the bottom two lines, so one of them needs to be sent down--they are a liability when playing in a defensive role.

Well I agree totally, this guy plays like a NHLer, call him up to play on our third line, promote Tender.. Dags isnt NHL material at the moment.. He and A.Kost on the pressbox for the opener looks fine to me.. Im tired to say A.Kost has all the skills of the world and will be good, he has to be good now, we have been patient enough!

Bergeron for sure. Weber > Carle, both in the AHL and NHL preseason. Subban has played exactly how many pro games? If he tears up the league (as in above PPG) by December and MAB doesn't work out he might get a shot but since his D is even more questionable than Weber's that's highly doubtful. Still, I think a combo of Gill-Subban would be a great third shutdown pair.... Yeah i know.. i know... but, if you combine their two D styles (highly unconventional) you have a two player trap system. Gill plays farther back and uses his reach to break up passes/pokecheck, while Subban tends to rush out and challenge forwards on a rush and then turn and backcheck the player who he forced the pass to. Gill's enormous reach would give the forward less time to make a play and Subban's skating could let him catch up to the puck carrier and be in better position to recover the puck than either of the opponents. Which is actually similar to the situation that Subban and Myers were in during the WJC IIRC

Which would be good except that Myers can actually play hockey, while Gill looks like he's playing for his kids ringuette team

So with Bergeron up who's the 7th D? They'll have to call up someone else in case someone on defense misses a game or two.

Bergeron and Carle to be 7th D maybe? I know Weber is better than him but Weber needs to play in Hamilton while Carle can only benefit from being called up, even if he doesn't play much at all. It'll be good for is morale and bring his value up if the organisation has no real plans for him. He still has some untapped potential.

Weber isn't ready for the NHL. He needs more lagering in Hamilton.

Please this is so simple, he was not ready and Bergeron is now so they made the logical move.

MAB will be called up soon to practice with the Habs and I'd think that once A.Henry is cleared to play, he'll be our 7th D. We have MAB for the offensive part now, so there's no harm in going with a veteran stay-at-home D like Henry. Plus, he brings grit and toughness.

I've really been noticing your posts lately as a frustrated voice of sanity and reason on these boards. Often posting my thoughts exactly. I figured I would mention that and give you kudos, since I can't always be around to *facepalm* at people

Subban will be lucky to be called up at all this season.

Carle is not an NHL calibre Dman, and too injury prone.

MAB is coming up, why is this even being questioned???

Doesn't surprise me. At this point Weber brings nothing that MAB can't and more. Weber was looking bad defensively which is to be expected. However, he wasn't dynamite offensively either, although he wasn't really given much time and chance to prove it because of his poor defensive play.

Of course it's going to be Bergeron. I'm not sure why there's even any speculation.

This move will be only moderately successful with Markov out of the lineup. I can't see who's going to move the puck to MAB so he can score on the PP. Spacek, I guess, but he's no Markov.

at such a crucial time in a player's development, having him play at the highest level in a position he is not suited for, would be one of the worst decisions you could make
